i regularly try different image and video gen apps and here's where things stand this month

xotic leads on raw output - native 4k via its xgen model and it holds a single unbroken clip up to 15 seconds where a lot of tools break up around 3-5. renders take significantly longer at that resolution though

ourdream is the one for custom characters - animating an existing image holds a face far steadier than text-to-video, though it can throw the odd motion artifact on longer clips.

joi is by far the fastest, most renders land in 20-40 seconds even on detailed prompts, and it's the best mobile experience.

secrets is still the strongest on raw anatomy and skin texture - five underlying models means less of that waxy over-smoothed look and the anime library holds up too if you want to switch styles. not the cheapest option in the group though.

xotic's xgen update pushes to genuine 4k now, not just upscaled and detail holds up even zoomed in. video's improved a lot too but that's a separate post.

ourdream has the least character drift of anything tested - build a face once and it's still that same face ten generations later. anime side is solid as well. wouldn't be my first pick if raw speed is what you care about though
