I (35F) attended Pineapple bar for the first time on Friday night with my FWB (34F).

I quite like that everyone has a vetting call, that single males have to have their's face to face and that the number of single men is strictly limited on standard nights. It adds a level of comfort that everyone has had a good conversation about consent and boundaries.

When we arrived the staff emphasisd that they are a social / connection first venue. Which is surprising considering how loud they had the live music playing. I could barely understand my friend let alone have any sort of meaningful conversation with a new connection. I also found the downstairs area to be small and it felt like people were crammed into the seating area.

My friend and I decided to head upstairs early due to the level of noise downstairs. We headed to the locker room to dress down and realised we either had to walk through the busy bar area where everyone was still dressed or go to the front staircase which, when a short way up the stairs, you can see a little bit out the front door onto the street.

The atmosphere upstairs was really quite nice. Relaxing music played, there was mood lighting everywhere and lots of different open 'rooms' with 2 or 3 rooms with doors. There weren't that many private play areas compared to open ones. I was impressed with the amount of condoms, lube, towels etc in each room. There was also mouthwash and deo in the toilets which was a nice touch. Unfortunately it appeared that most of the furniture they had set up for play was regular fabric upholstered couches. I really do wonder how they go about / how often they clean them. Needless to say we put down a lot of towels!

It was advertised that the night ran until 2am. At around 12-12.30 the owner came upstairs and very loudly announced that it was last drinks which completely ruining the atmosphere. He stuck his head into the room we were in to again announce last drinks which felt unnecessary and almost like he just wanted to have a gander. He then proceeded to bang on the closed door next to us, it felt excessive and was really jarring.

After some time, we got caught completely off guard when the music all of a sudden stops then the security guard appears in our room. He told us we were the last people there and they were closing early and we needed to go. We were mid play and fully naked and honestly feeling shocked. We didn't have the opportunity to provide aftercare to each other and the bathroom lights were turned off so we couldn't shower which we had planned on.

The venue itself has potential. Downstairs would have been much nicer if the music wasn't so loud and the issue with the front staircase looking out onto the street was fixed. Upstairs the atmosphere and amenaties were great but they could do with some covers on the furniture for hygiene purposes. I won't be returning though due to how the owner and security guard acted - especially as we were a FF couple.

Hello all!

I'm looking at checking out pineapple bar (on a non themed night) and am wondering what people actually wear to the venue.

The website encourages people to wear "crisp colared shirts, tailored trousers and jackets, cocktail dresses, full suits with ties and polished leather shoes"

Curious if people are actually wearing that or if it's more smart casual?
