Anyone have any luck with using MIDI controllers with knobs to control parameters on Xtoys? Some of the public files have extra parameters you can control with sliders, but they are about the width of my finger on a phone, and I find it really frustrating to adjust them as the files are playing.

Ideally I would want to assign buttons to include, start, pause, pattern 1, pattern 2, pattern 3 etc. For knobs depending on what the file offers, Max intensity, Intensity, fine adjust intensity, speed, frequency. As an alternative to knobs, sliders also seem like they would be nice to use.

For compatibility I was thinking about using a laptop to run xtoys and to plug in a MIDI controller via USB. I've read that there can be issues trying to use Bluetooth MIDIs and it can overcomplicate the process.

What's the best way to get frequency adjustment control for the audio files I play on the Tingler?

I've read some people use the xtoys app and use the frequency slider in the app to allow you to change the frequency as the file is playing external audio to your device. One issue I noticed is when adding an "audio estim device" block in the app, it won't let you go below 400hz for some reason. I've read that ideal for stereostim is 25-80hz, so I'm not sure if I will be limiting myself this way.

When adding the DG Coyote block, for the Coyote 3, it has a much lower range, I think around 1-500hz.

Should I be using another setting in Xtoys or another app entirely to get frequency adjustment?
