Nipples are white in the center after I pump?

Hello all!

I have recently noticed that after I pump, the centers of my nipples are white/pale. They are fairly sensitive against my bra and shirts. I read that it might be nipple vasospasms(?). Does this mean that I am pumping on too strong of a setting?

Progress at about 3 weeks in

Since starting this attempt about 3 weeks ago, I’ve definitely seen quite a few changes! For context, I currently try to pump 3-4 times a day at the moment and use my tens unit 3-4 times a day as well. I am also taking supplements and I have my first order of dom on its way. As far as supplements go, I’m currently taking milk thistle, goats rue, moringa, and sunflower lecithin. I dont have a partner, but I am able to self suckle on occasion.

Changes I’ve experienced up until this point:

Mostly my nipples. The nipple itself has also gotten bigger on each breast, but the areolas are the same. But they are constantly hard. Like omg the second I take them out of my bra. And they’re super sensitive too! Not entirely in a good way anymore 😬. It is definitely driving me away from pumping more, but I would rather cut back on the pumping than cause permanent damage lol. I’ve also noticed a ton of Montgomery glands popping up. My nips do also seem like they’re a little bit darker than they were.

As far as the rest of the breast, I can definitely feel the lobules developing. If I dont have time to do a thorough massaging, my breasts feel a lot herder and firmer. I’m not taking measurements or anything, but they’re also a fair bit larger and fuller. I used to have some extra room in my bra, but not anymore. I’m probably gonna have to get a bigger one soon because I know it’s bad to have a bra that’s too tight. They felt heavier at first, but I’m not sure if that feeling went away or I just got used to it.

I’ve been able to self suckle a few times and I swear that I taste something salty, but I can’t tell if that’s coming from my nipple, or if my tongue is rubbing against a spot on my lip that I bit. I’m currently not getting any “urges” to pump or anything, but I have been a little less consistent than I was in the beginning because of the nipple sensitivity. I dont have any liquid yet, so I’m just planning on keeping up my currently routine until the dom that I ordered arrives.

Questions for those who have induced solo without pregnancy

Hello! I am personally currently attempting to induce solo (no this is not an ad, I dont respond to the creeps in my dms) and I have never been pregnant. I would love some input from others who have been successful in a similar situation as me:

  1. When did you first notice drops or wetness?

  2. What changes did you notice up until that point?

  3. Were you able to pump immediately from the start? It seems like even the lowest setting on the pump I have is too strong.

  4. What was the most that you have produced?

  5. If you did end up getting pregnant and breastfeeding down the line, was anything different? Either physically or emotionally?

Or just any other general information about your experiences so far!

I plan on doing an update post on my own progress soon, but I’d love to hear from others who have had my circumstances and what worked best for you

Is there an advantage of pumping or TENS early on before any milk?

I got my period last week and at the same time I seemed to lose almost all of my recent progress overnight, so we are basically back to square one. I have a wearable pump and a TENS unit. I have an in person desk job in an environment where I can’t pump, so I’m thinking about using my tens during the day.

I didn’t see anything that has mentioned an advantage to pumping or using a TENS before you have milk. How differently do the two impact the breast? Can I replace all pumping at this stage with the TENS? Should I pump at home and sneak out to my car to pump during my lunch? The TENS is definitely a lot more comfortable and convenient at this stage. Is there any reason to make sure I pump as well? And if so, how much of each should I try to do regularly?

Excited to start!

Hello!

Long time lurker, first time posting here. F23, never pregnant or lactated. I’ve been interested in this for years and have attempted to induce lactation a few times in the past few years but I never got any liquid.

I wasn’t able to get the privacy I needed at the time for having packaged delivered or being able to make too much noise, so I never really got too far in the process. I have since moved into my own place and I am lucky enough to be able to support myself without a roommate (but it’s getting harder and harder these days 😰)

In the past, I have attempted different hand expressions, used a TENS, tried a manual pump, and a couple different supplements. I wasn’t able to be completely consistent or have any kind of suckling, but I did notice some breast changes.

Since getting my own place, I finally have the privacy to go all in. I do have to keep budget in mind, but I was able to afford a little bit of domperidone and hopefully it should be here by September(??)

In the mean time, I was able to get a cheaper wearable pump off amazon and I plan to try my best with what I have until the dom gets here.

I started trying to induce this past weekend and I already feel like there’s been a lot of progress, but that could just be me hyper aware of everything going on with my boobs lol. This is my first time using an electric pump, and I love the feeling! I have noticed my boobs have started feeling heavier and I’m filling out parts in my bra that I didn’t a week ago. The wearable pump was delivered yesterday and I used it for the first time last night, and I feel like I can feel a difference already. My boobs feel a lot “fluffier” and softer. They start to tingle and beg me for attention every couple hours when I’m at work so I have to sneak off to the bathroom to address them lol

Another thing I do sometimes that I know sounds kind of weird. I know saliva is a component to your body recognizing that it needs to make milk, and I dont have a suckler and I can’t self suckle. So I will take nipple suction cups and fill them with some of my saliva, and then let them sit on my nipples for a few minutes. I dont suction them on too hard, but enough that the nipple is being sucked out and the saliva is being forced to be absorbed. This method seems to help but I’m open to any input

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself, I plan to post updates and document my progress. Let me know if you have any questions!
