Okay, so I’ve been abusing opiates for a few years now and I’ve noticed that my adderall doesn’t do ANYTHING anymore. I take 40mg instant release. My adhd meds used to make me motivated, energized, etc. but these days when I take my adderall, nothing really happens. I’m writing this message after having taken 40mg a few hours again and I’m feeling sleepy and laying in bed.

Is this normal? If I quit, will my adhd meds actually do anything again? Have I screwed up my brain? I’m assuming that the opiates have messed up the pathways in my brain by releasing to much dopamine, so now my adderall just doesn’t do anything.
