New game?
We’re building a private RPG engine for couples where connected toys become part of the game.
My wife and I started building it for ourselves because we wanted something more interesting than the usual remote-control games.
Adventures can use dice combat, HP, choices, puzzles, traps, status effects and physical feedback tied to what’s happening in the game. Take damage and your connected gear can react. Get poisoned and an effect can persist until you’re cured. One player can get trapped while the other has to solve a challenge. We’re also experimenting with multiple connected devices per player.
The longer-term idea is a creator rather than a story library: players would build/import their own private RPG adventures, add their own text and images, and decide how game events interact with their own compatible hardware. We’re exploring Buttplug.io compatibility so it isn’t tied to one manufacturer.
Nothing is being sold right now. We’re still in early development and doing our own first playtests.
Would anyone here actually be interested in testing something like this when it’s ready?
We’d probably choose a small group of early testers with different devices/setups and ask for detailed feedback.
