🚨 HUGE glass news for Zynpyre 🚨

Kristian Merwin is in talks to make custom glass for the Clean Chamber line. If that name doesn't ring a bell, let it sink in: this is the guy who INVENTED the Nectar Collector. The entire vertical dab straw category exists because of him. Every Nectar Collector piece you've ever seen, every knockoff, every "spill proof" dab tool on the market, it all traces back to Kristian.

He sent over some of his recent work as examples and the detail is absolutely insane, organic shapes, wild color work, the kind of heady glass people build entire collections around. And there's talk of him designing custom glass cases for the Clean Chamber itself.

Here's the part that makes this hit different: this collab wasn't some marketing team's idea. The community asked for it. Y'all put it out there, and Zynpyre actually listened and made it happen.

Nothing's locked in stone yet, we're still deep in the works ahead of our launch on the 7th, but the caliber of collabs and partners lining up right now is out of control. This is shaping up to be way bigger than a "just another brand launch."

Their GM reached out directly to Zynpyre about carrying the Clean Chamber line, both as a featured stash spot item and in their glass cleaning section. There's also a possible placement with High Society 420 in the works. Landing on a platform with that kind of scale and reputation is a real signal for where this brand is headed. Water pipes have been around far longer than most people think. Archaeological finds trace early water pipe use back centuries, long before glass entered the picture, and glassblowing itself traces back to the Hellenistic Period of Ancient Rome, where artisans used mosaic techniques to shape beads and pottery.

But the glass bong as we know it is a modern invention. Glass bongs gained real visibility in North America during the 1960s and 70s, as cannabis culture became more public and artists started experimenting with colorful pipes, water chambers, and sculptural designs. The material that made it all possible was borosilicate glass, prized because it handles heat far better than ordinary glass.

One name changed everything: Bob Snodgrass. Traveling with the Grateful Dead, Snodgrass popularized the use of durable, heat-resistant borosilicate glass, offering a pure, clean taste and a transparent canvas for real artistic creativity. He's credited with inventing "fuming," a technique where vaporizing small amounts of gold and silver during glassblowing traps color-shifting fumes inside the glass itself. That single innovation split the craft in two: ornate, collectible "heady glass" art on one side, and clean, function-focused scientific pieces on the other.

From there, the craft only grew. By the late 90s, borosilicate had become the industry standard, and the culture around glass had shifted from underground curiosity to genuine craftsmanship people collected and respected.

That's the lineage Zynpyre is stepping into: decades of glassblowers refining heat resistance, purity, and design until function and art became the same thing. Same standard, same respect for the craft, just built for where the industry is headed now. 🌿
