After several years, it finally happened, and it wasn’t what I expected

After several years of writing stories, role-playing, dirty talk, and a few failed attempts at finding a third on an app, it finally happened for us.
And honestly, it wasn’t what I expected.
It was kind of a mix of her being with him, me joining for a bit, getting kicked out, and then eventually jumping into his bed after he finished to reclaim her. It was hot as hell, and I’d absolutely do it again.
But the weird thing is how normal it felt.
I had always imagined that when it finally happened I’d get some huge rush, like jumping out of an airplane. Or that I’d be incredibly worked up and then have some massive post-nut clarity afterward and start questioning everything.
But none of that happened.
It was exciting and really sexy, but at the same time it just felt... normal.
I’m kind of surprised by that.
I wonder how much of the expectation of jealousy or some huge emotional reaction comes from being raised around pretty strict monogamous and heteronormative ideas about relationships. We're basically taught that seeing your partner with someone else should feel wrong or incredibly threatening.
But what if it just doesn't?
I don't see a lot of people talk about their first experience being surprisingly ordinary. Usually the stories seem to focus on the crazy emotions, jealousy, compersion, unexpected feelings, etc.
So I'm curious if anyone else had this experience.
Did you have your first hotwife experience and think, "Huh. That was way more normal than I expected"?
Not boring. Definitely not disappointing. Just... surprisingly natural.
