

Testing a prototype hands-free mount — looking for stability and setup feedback
I’m testing a prototype hands-free mount system designed for interactive VR and device-supported use.
The main goal is to solve a few common setup problems: mount wobble, device rotation, sleeve alignment drifting, limited chair/desk positioning, and slow re-lube or adjustment during use.
This is not a finished retail product yet. It is currently in the prototype / pilot testing stage, and I’m looking for real feedback from people who have tried desk clamps, magic arms, vise setups, belt mounts, or other DIY hands-free solutions.
The feedback I’m most interested in:
Does this body/base-supported design look more stable than a desk clamp or long magic arm?
Would upper support help reduce rocking during use?
Is quick removal for re-lube / cleaning important?
What setup position matters most: seated, lying down, standing, or adjustable?
What would make this design uncomfortable, unsafe, or annoying in real use?
