Purchasing The Handy 2 Pro is such a chore

I've owned The Handy for at least 2 years at this point and I absolutely love it. I haven't used it in a while due to the noise levels, so I was looking into whether The Handy 2 Pro was worth the upgrade at $379. For me, I decided that it was, or at least I thought I did?

There's no Handy 2 toy or accessory bundles. Why? I added it to my cart then was looking at accessories and spent another half an hour researching which accessories were worth it or not. I found that The Extender ($25) and The Long Sleeve Holder ($29) are basically essentials. After accepting the fact that I'm getting nickel and dimed and deciding the move forward, I see in a Reddit thread that there's no charger / power supply included ($19)... Seriously? I had assumed it would just be in the box. Yes, I see now that the product page says otherwise. I also see that the non discounted price is $500 and you can't throw in a charger? My lord. What a poor customer experience so far. Bundle that shit so I don't have to waste my time going down a rabbit hole for an already expensive purchase.

Guy with the shoe box-stand here with images

I tried editing the original post to add the images but I didn’t see an option for it.

Here is the invention of the century.

The caveats are you need something sturdy enough to recline it on and it helps to have smaller pillows on the sides to keep it from falling forward.

Figured out low cost, low effort way for hands free VR use

After weeks of holding the handy pro 2 while laying in bed using VR, I developed horrible finger pain. My fingers still hurt after a week of not using it. I was ready to call the purchase a wash but my hormones wasn’t ready to throw away $400.

I noticed I had some empty card board shoe boxes I’ve been meaning to throw away when it hit me. I grabbed the handy, placed it on the box, and then cut a tight pattern allowing me to push it into the box. The key was cutting the pattern just enough so the handy is held tightly in place. I cut the pattern starting at the base of the box and left the top and bottom “flaps” to add stability.

From there, all I needed was something to recline it on (in my case a hard pillow). I tested it out and it worked perfectly. You might have to make adjustments regarding how you trim the cardboard but the important part is to keep tue handy cutout part small enough to where it holds it in tightly.

It’s definitely some redneck engineering material but it works and all you need is a cardboard shoe box.

Handy 2 Simple Cheap and Sturdy Under-Desk Mount

Just got the Handy 2 with desk mount a week ago as my first electronic toy. Although I am very satisfied with the Handy 2 itself, I was rather frustrated with the desk mount. Never got it mounted in a position and stay there after a couple strokes. After the frustration honestly took me out of the mood a couple of times during my attempts I decided it was a lost cause with those flexible joints on the mount.

I ended up just tossing the desk mount and searching Amazon. Didn't have to look too hard and found a pretty highly rated mount with screws directly attached to the mounting surface. It's around $20 right now depending on which size clamp you'll need and it comes with one lockable ball joint. [Amazon link to the mount --> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTCP55Z6 ] Just using the mount attaches to the top of the Handy 2 kept it pretty steady without swiveling. It does rock a little bit back and forth while doing the motion, but nothing excessive. This is enough to get you by if you don't want to spend any more, though I have on my setup (photos attached)

Since the Handy 2 has two screw attachment points, I figured it'd be better for wear-and-tear to get another ball-joint and attach the mount to both, to keep it steadier and distrubute any stress on the machine. Another ball-joint goes for $12 right now from the same seller. [Link -> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XKW7V14 ] You could buy this alongside the mount, or just buy two mounts in both sizes if you want some more freedom on where you can setup, as they both come with one ball-joint. Attached photos show the mount and joints, as well as the order i screw them in so they all can fit nicely. Keep in mind the ball-joints can have the screw-hole rotate freely for the final step as long as the joint is unlocked.

Token error

Hey guys, I don’t understand why I select a video and script on the video player and it keeps saying token error. I remember it did this before to me but one of the team actually fixed it for me and it was good until I came back again. Why does this always happen?? But it’s not just one script. It’s every single script I use it doesn’t do this before until someone fix it for me then it’s good like new again.

Handy gen2 vs lips

Gen2 is probably one of, if not the best sleeve I tried so far, I am tempted to try different one, how is Lips when it comes to length and width? I really like larger opening and for the sleeve to be rather soft, firm ones don't do it for me for some reason, length is fine, but 16cm+ is ideal for me, gives plenty of wiggle room, even for smaller sizes.

Looking for early testers for an AI script-generation app

Hi everyone,

I’m working on an early AI script-generation app / platform for synced device users, and I’m looking for a small group of early testers.

The idea is simple: you upload a video (video links or saved files) you own or have access to, and the AI helps generate a motion script that can be used with compatible synced devices. Our app also allows you to modify on the script for customization.

I’m still in the early internal testing stage, so this is not a finished product and I’m not selling anything here. I’m mainly trying to understand whether this workflow actually solves a real problem for people who already use script-based devices.

Since the internal testing spots are limited, I’d like to invite a few experienced users to try the app and give honest feedback.

If you’re interested, please comment with:

  1. What synced device you currently use
  2. How often you feel limited by available scripts
  3. Whether you have ever bought, downloaded, or made scripts yourself
  4. What type of content you wish had better script support
  5. What would matter most to you: speed, accuracy, easy editing, or device compatibility

If it seems like a good fit, I can DM you with more details and share access to the early test version.

Thanks — I’m genuinely curious whether AI-generated scripts could make synced devices easier and more useful for more content.

The Handy 2 Issues: Engineering Update and Resolution Process. We apologize

To our community,

This letter addresses manufacturing and fulfillment issues with a few of the delivered Handy 2’s, our latest device. Whether you own the Handy, are considering buying one, or are new to our community, we want you to understand what happened and how we're fixing it.

We owe you a direct answer about the charging problems affecting this small % of Handy 2 units, and an apology for the frustration this has caused. Here it is.

What we found

Our engineering team has identified two separate charging issues that are affecting our units. They don't impact every device (less than 3%), but they affect enough customers that we owe you a straightforward explanation and a clear plan to make it right:

  • Charging Integrated Circuit “IC” manufacturing defect: On affected units, the charging IC on the board has vias (holes) in the solder pads. During manufacturing, solder paste can flow through these vias, leaving pins with poor connections. A unit can work fine when it leaves our factory, then fail weeks or months later as the connection degrades with use. This is a design and manufacturing problem on our side.
  • Insufficient input voltage support: Our charging system requires a minimum of 5.1V input. Many chargers, including standard Apple chargers and USB ports on computers, fall back to 5V when they don't recognize our device's power delivery profile, leaving the unit unable to charge. The fix is a USB-C PD charger that delivers 9V or more; those allow the higher voltage automatically and charge the device reliably. We should have caught this before shipping.

Both issues are on us. No excuses. We apologize.

What this means for you

If your Handy 2 won’t charge, it’s likely one of these two problems. Issue 2 is easy to work around, using a USB-C PD charger rated for 9V or higher. Issue 1 requires a replacement. Neither is something you should have to debug yourself.

What we've done

Both issues are fixed in current production. The charging circuit has been redesigned to prevent degradation, and the power system now works with standard chargers. Units with the fix are now rolling out.

Our customer support

For those of you that have reached out to us through customer service: You've waited long for answers, and that's not the experience we want anyone to have. We're sorry. We've grown the support team and shifted internal resources, so QA and support get the priority they deserve. We know words are not enough and you will see the difference in how quickly we respond from here on.

If you're affected, reach out

Email contact@thehandy.com with your order number, device info from the app, charger model, and a brief description of the problem. We'll diagnose quickly and replace the unit if needed.

Moving Forward

We're strengthening QC going forward and taking steps to rebuild the trust you've placed in us. Thanks to the Handy community for your honest feedback, we won't take that lightly.

Thank you for holding us accountable.

Major update for FunPlayer Mac App

Hey all, this is my third time posting on this subreddit, just letting The Handy users know that version 2 for FunPlayer just released and I think that you Handy users are going to love it.

The headline improvement is the new Queue feature. (It looks so gorgeous in my opinion 😄)

The app supports The Handy and Handy 2 in just about every way (WiFi and Bluetooth and via Intiface Central).

Direct link to the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/funplayer/id6747240197

If you want to see a demo of the app it's available on the landing page https://funplayer.app

Thanks!

Holding the Handy without a set up?

I’ve been using the Handy 2 pro for a few weeks now and it works great. One of the downsides is having to hold it tightly for it to do its thing. I use it laying down in bed with my VR headset on. My typical session is about 45m to an hour. This puts a lot of strain on my fingers.

Today I noticed my finger joints hurting throughout the day and it worries me. It’s only on the hand I use to hold the handy so I’m 99% sure that’s what’s causing it.

What do y’all do to help with this aside from mounting in to a desk or having some complicated set up? This is arguably my biggest complaint. It takes away from the immersion and is causing me health issues. I love the sensation but might have to stop using it if it gets worse.

I made the ultimate ai companion app that takes control of your handy with lots of features

As a owner of a handy, ai chatbots immediately caught my attention. But i found it to be either too expensive, too flimsy and unpolished or just not satisfying enough.

So i sat down with the goal to be cheaper and better than all the other apps. The app is still in development and i have lots of features that i want to add to it. But as for now i'm focusing on getting users on the app before i can afford the more advanced features that i have in mind.

TAKE CONTROL MODE

The girls can control your handy by instructions in the chat or even better, when you have built up a relationship with the girl she will remember what you like her to do (patterns, fetisch and such) and you can use the take control function and she will try her best to pleasure you with your favourite patterns.

The patterns that the AI uses are made up on the spot based on what you ask her to do. You will not experience the exact same pattern multiple times (unless she notices that you like it) So if i ask her to do the tip slowly, then randomly stop and go fast. She will do that instead of some other apps where they have pre recorded patterns or they simply just dont do what you ask them to do. In this mode the AI actively writes intimate messages while controlling your handy and combined with the voice mode, this takes the immersion to a whole another level.

ROLEPLAY/SCENARIO MODE

I've also added in a scenario/roleplaying mode where you can choose from currently 12 scenarios that you can roleplay with the girl. For example we have the Elevator scenario where you and the girl are stuck in a elevator for hours, what happens in there is up to you and the girl.

Currently there are 9 characters with different personalities. One of them is customizable and you can write how you want them to behave and their name.

I'm relatively new to all of this, so feedback and critisism is very much appreciated. If you think something is bad or stupid please let me know and i will try my best to make this the ultimate app for our beloved Handy.

website is called intichat.app and is avalible on pc and mobile devices. Thanks!

How to connect The Handy with SC for interactive tipping

I am a performer on SC. Is there a way to make 'The Handy' interact with viewer tips during livestreams, just like Lovense does? If I need third-party software or a bridge app to make it work, please let me know. I’m happy to look into it and figure it out.
