Since the surgery, I've noticed a swollen/pile-like structure protruding from the anal opening. It sometimes looks more prominent after bowel movements and then appears smaller at other times.

There is also an open/pink healing area next to the swollen tissue, with some whitish/yellowish material around it. I don't know whether this is normal postoperative healing tissue, swelling/granulation tissue, a hemorrhoid, or something else.

I've attached photos from yesterday and today so you can see how it has changed.

For anyone who has had LIS or similar anal surgery:

Did you experience a swollen/pile-like lump during the first 1–2 weeks?

How long did it take for the swelling/protruding tissue to go down?
