A fuir.

What's your solo concert experience been like ?

Hi. I was supposed to go to a show by a world-famous DJ with my husband, but he can't make it after all. In the pit in a stadium. It's very mainstream music, but I'm an easy audience : I like electro-pop and house, but I have a hard time really appreciating techno.

I was already planning to take MDMA, because I've been looking forward to this concert for nine months, and it's rare that I find music that suits my taste. For once, I really want to enjoy myself. I'm naturally shy, so I also know it will be difficult to let loose, especially being alone. The MDMA will really be useful for dancing, and maybe connecting with the people around me.

Have you ever taken drugs alone at a concert? Is the atmosphere conducive to it? Would you do it again?

The differences in effects between ecstasy and MDMA surprise me

I have two questions about possible differences between ecstasy and MDMA crystals. I know perfectly well that it's supposed to be exactly the same thing, in two different forms.

MDMA is 85% pure (the rest is salt), lab-tested. Ecstasy isn't : I have no idea about the dosage. Same seller.

For context, I started in 2024, and every 2-3 months I've always taken MDMA. I've never experienced the "magic" feeling; it's a very unstable substance, which remains quite mild compared to what everyone describes. If I had to rate it, I'd say I experience about 50% of the euphoria compared to others. Since 100mg is weak and very short-lived, my usual dose is 100mg + 100mg redose, maximum. Most of the time, I take it at electronic music festivals. My last experiences were early December, mid-March, and then recently mid-May.

Since my scale was broken, I took half an ecstasy pill at 6:30 PM (the effects started at 7 PM) and then the other half at 8 PM. The come-up was gentler : I was still incredibly cold (I'm literally freezing every time, even when it's warm), but I didn't feel overwhelmed or out of it. No nausea : usually nausea lasts for several hours. I could move around instead of being hunched over in a corner, there was much less tingling in my extremities, and I could speak normally. So I concluded that half a pill was definitely weaker than 100mg. I felt good and happy. I took the second half. The evening flew by; it was amazing—I mean, much better than usual. It felt more potent, while the come-up was much gentler. No dizziness at all.

At 2 AM, back home, I was still completely stoned and unable to sleep. So that was 7 hours. I took an anti-anxiety medication to cut the effects, and I tossed and turned for an hour before my brain finally gave up. So a total of 8 hours... stopping with a benzodiazepine.

Usually 200mg of MDMA has (minor) effects between 5 and 6 hours.

My questions :

Is it possible that the ecstasy was actually less concentrated ? And that the effects were better and longer-lasting ? For example, the pill was 160mg, I would have taken 80+80mg.

But I've already tried 100+50mg in crystals and it wasn't as good or as long-lasting.

Or does that necessarily mean there were other substances in the pill, making it more effective with fewer negative side effects ?

I should mention that I didn't experience any comedown (I never have).

I am probably neuro-divergent woman, aged 40, without confirmation (too complex and long) : ADHD or mild autism, for your information (just feelings).

When can I take an anti-nausea medication ?
