Hello.

I’ve (32F) been in an age gap relationship with my partner (55M) for a little over a year now. I love him and our relationship and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. However, he tends to get more hung up on the age gap than I do. Said he gets stares and those stares make him get in his head. I’ve been open and honest that strangers opinions don’t matter. My parents don’t care and the friends who do know just want us to be happy.

But he still tends to get in his head whenever someone looks at us strangely. I want to help him but not sure what else I can say or do to get him there. Any advice?
