Hi there! I was prescribed .25 mg alprazolam. I didn’t feel any different with it, so I asked my doctor if I could take two pills to see if that helped. They prescribed me .50 mg tablets instead.

Is there a reason for this? Would there be anything wrong with just taking two .25 mg tablets instead of one .50? I assume it has something to do with the way our bodies process the drug, but TBH I have no idea.
