Just woke up from a pretty HDG-esque dream I thought this sub might enjoy.

So basically, one day, a group of aliens came upon Earth. I didn't get to see what they looked like, but the only thing they did before leaving was deploying a satellite, kind of like a mini-moon, in the outer orbits of the planet.

Everyone was surprised and it was all over the news, but people were quick to realize that the satellite had the sole purpose of radiating Earth with brain waves that flat out prevented humans from feeling aggression or hostility. People worldwide suddenly stopped being able to inflict harm on others out of ill-will.

This caused an "apocalypse". Hundreds of companies just went bankrupt very quickly due to being mentally unable to create a profit, and due to increased spending out of care for the well-being of other people. With so many bankruptcies at once, the worldwide economy went to crap, and many infrastructures collapsed in a short period of time. However, people weren't suffering because of it. Almost everyone was cool with all the chaos, and everyone was willing to help each other out. People seemed to understand that this was just a short-term thing until we finally got used to the new lifestyle, so humanity just moved on. It's not like we had a choice to do something else, anyways.

The dream ended with me looking up at the night sky, watching the artificial satellite floating peacefully along its orbit, permanently out of reach.
