Why can’t my sister just say congratulations?! Rant

I don’t know why this is bothering me so much. For context, my sister is 5 years older than myself and has never been larger than a B cup. In fact, after having two children, she is still a perky B cup and even my twin sister is a perky C cup. I inherited my mother’s chest, unfortunately.

She has never dealt with macromastia, rashes, sweat, or any other medical annoyance that comes with having all dense, 30DDD chest with grade 3 ptosis like myself. She has never dealt with not fitting into tops, being sexualized, being unable to work out, not even fitting into a sports bra, etc. Everything I have described here is about myself and I have explained all of this to her.

I am 3MPO. Two days ago, I showed her my before boobs described above and my now B cup, perky chest. She kept saying things like: 1.) “Oh men love your before boobs!” 2.) “They weren’t thattt big” 3.) “So many women would LOVE to be that big!” and more.

In response, I told her that I don’t give a damn if men like bigger boobs because they don’t carry those bigger boobs, that they WERE BIG for my frame and even my surgeon was shocked at their size, and that big doesn’t equal attractive.

She said absolutely nothing about my post-OP chest. Not a single thing. I think it boils down to her not liking when women change anything about their natural bodies. For example, I’m getting a mole removed from my face and she doesn’t like the idea because of scars. As another example, I told her that, were my post-op chest to sag later on, I would just get implants. She said, “that’s years in the future and you would be in your 50s! Who even cares at that point?!” Lotssss of women do!

But how hard is it for her to just compliment and support this?! Ugh. Sorry, rant over.

Does anyone in Harrisburg, PA or Camp Hill, PA need Juven and Bone broth for recovery/post-op?

Hi all! I have half a box of Juven (fruit punch) that I no longer need and a full brand new box of bone broth I never used. I am not willing to ship so I was wondering if there is anyone in this area who wants them? They are free.

I am only 2MPO so these are pretty new boxes of both. I also have two 40B/C Marena compression bras to give.

Left breast still feels like a rock

Hi all. I’d like to know what you think. I am 7WPO and both my breasts have softened a bit, with the right side having softened more.

The reason I am posting is because I’m noticing that my left still feels like the whole “rocks on my chest” feeling. I don’t see any significant difference in size, it just looks like it hasn’t softened as much as the right.

When I get up in the morning, the left will have pain/swelling towards the bottom and it’s bottom incisions. I also feel like I’m noticing the rock hard feeling more but, when I actually feel my chest, I don’t feel any hard lumps and I don’t see any bruises.

All in all, I’m worried it’s a hematoma or seroma.

7WPO and a few questions

1.) When did yall stop using ABD pads in your compression bras? I have no leakage of any kind

2.) My doc’s office recommended half a day with the compression bras and half the day without. Anyone know why? I mostly read that you should keep it on for 3 months consistently

3.) My doc’s office also recommended using antibacterial soap when showering. I have extremely sensitive skin and now my skin is very very dry from this soap. When did yall go back to your normal body wash?

4.) The only thing recommended to me was scar massages with aquaphor. At 7W1DPO, can I now use scar tape/gel?

5.) When can I go back to using deodorant/shaving? Luckily, I rarely sweat much so odor hasn’t been an issue

Seeing this for the second time this week changing dressings

I changed my dressing again today and saw this again right where the T-junction is on my R breast but I’m not seeing an actual opening. I’m so confused. What is this?

Will I be a size B or will they be bigger?

Hi all. I was a 30DDD before my reduction. I had 440 grams removed from my right and 502 removed from my left. Would this leave me at a B?

I wanted to be a size B and they definitely look bigger than a B, at least to me. I am exactly 2WPO today. I swear they also look bigger after they removed my drains this afternoon.

About to take my first shower and need advice

I have drains but no steri strips so maybe my doc used glue of some kind? His PA said to use face the shower using low water pressure and use disinfectant soap and my hand to gently rub away blood and skin from my incisions. Has anyone been told to do this?? From what I’m reading, everyone is told to face away from the shower.

Also, I have incisions deep under my armpits. How am I supposed to clean those if I can’t lift my arms too much? I am 11DPO.

10DPO and my wedding ring

Okay soooo I am literally swollen everywhere (my stomach being the worst!) after surgery. I custom-designed my ring and I MISS wearing her because she just doesn’t fit my finger right now.

So from time to time, I just go in and admire my ring. I went to try it on thinking it may fit and while it fit more than it has the past few days, my skin where my ring was started BURNING. WTH?! Anyone know why?? She is 10K yellow gold and I was the one who had it made so I KNOW it’s legitimately gold and I’ve never had my ring burn my hand before.

For those of you who had axillary tissue removed, did you have any swelling in your arms??

Hi! I had a lot of axillary tissue removed. Mine was in the side of my armpit and under it.

I had drains put in and the right drain is still taking in fluid. It’s also my right arm (from top of arm to a bit before my wrist) that looks more swollen and feels tight.

For those of you who had axillary tissue removed, did you also experience more swelling in one or both arms?

Swelling in left ankle and foot

Hi all. I woke up today with my left foot swollen. I had surgery two days ago. I tried to call my surgeon any everyone on his team but no one responded. I immediately went to the ER where they performed an Ultrasound. They said they see no blood clots but to wait in the room until they can contact my surgeon.

I am so scared right now. Has this happened to anyone?

Was anyone else given a Wound Vac?

While marking me up, my doc said there is a 50% chance I would end up using drains (he typically doesn’t use drains). I think it is because my breasts were so highly dense. Not only do I have drains, but I also have a Wound Vac. I have to keep it on until next week’s appointment.

I’m just curious if anyone else had to use one.

Please tell me the pain won’t last

Hi. Just had surgery 3 hours ago. Having burning, stinging and pain. We drove for 2.5 hours before reaching home and taking Oxy. I’m super scared the pain will last forever and it’s making me lightheaded thinking about it.

Surgery in One Day and I’m Worried about Two Things

Hi all!! I have surgery in one day! I just have two thoughts that keep going through my mind:

1.) What if they don’t make my chest look nice? I want small, perky boobs and my doc has repeatedly said he thinks a size B is best (he said it’s because it reduces skin-on-skin and it reduces sagging in the future). He said we will go into a lot more detail when he is marking me up

2.) What if there are complications after the surgery? What if something goes wrong!?

I’m excited but very nervous as this is my first surgery and first time undergoing anesthesia.

Everyone in my personal life keeps saying a B is “too small.” However, both surgeons I had a consult with told me a size B would be most proportional to my 5’1, 125 lbs (planning on losing 25 lbs) body.

Is anyone around my height and weight and would be willing to share their thoughts on this size?
