Guysssssss😭😭😭
Got the courage to peek at one after feeling too scared. Officially 2DPO and so thrilled with how teeny.

Got the courage to peek at one after feeling too scared. Officially 2DPO and so thrilled with how teeny.
I don’t know why this is bothering me so much. For context, my sister is 5 years older than myself and has never been larger than a B cup. In fact, after having two children, she is still a perky B cup and even my twin sister is a perky C cup. I inherited my mother’s chest, unfortunately.
She has never dealt with macromastia, rashes, sweat, or any other medical annoyance that comes with having all dense, 30DDD chest with grade 3 ptosis like myself. She has never dealt with not fitting into tops, being sexualized, being unable to work out, not even fitting into a sports bra, etc. Everything I have described here is about myself and I have explained all of this to her.
I am 3MPO. Two days ago, I showed her my before boobs described above and my now B cup, perky chest. She kept saying things like: 1.) “Oh men love your before boobs!” 2.) “They weren’t thattt big” 3.) “So many women would LOVE to be that big!” and more.
In response, I told her that I don’t give a damn if men like bigger boobs because they don’t carry those bigger boobs, that they WERE BIG for my frame and even my surgeon was shocked at their size, and that big doesn’t equal attractive.
She said absolutely nothing about my post-OP chest. Not a single thing. I think it boils down to her not liking when women change anything about their natural bodies. For example, I’m getting a mole removed from my face and she doesn’t like the idea because of scars. As another example, I told her that, were my post-op chest to sag later on, I would just get implants. She said, “that’s years in the future and you would be in your 50s! Who even cares at that point?!” Lotssss of women do!
But how hard is it for her to just compliment and support this?! Ugh. Sorry, rant over.
I finally had my reduction 2 days ago and while I definitely have some healing to do before I am 100% I cannot get over how much my back has been relieved since waking up. I know I've been told and read about the immediate relief. But the skeptic in me was hesitant.
I am not sure what size I am now but my previous size was 36O. I certainly got a lot of comments during pre-op as they evidently have never seen a size as big as mine before. Waiting for the swelling to go down and for the bandage change at my 1 week recheck. No drains, which I was surprised at, and minimal drainage!
today is six weeks post-op! Still got a ways to go but I feel like I’ve come so far!
this before and after is from January this year and today. Mind blowing to me tbh. Before this top was maybe too small and now it’s maybe too big. I think it’s time to go shopping 🛍️
Hello, my girlfriend is getting a reduction in two weeks. I want to take the best care of her that I can.
During recovery: What did people do for you? What do you wish people did for you? What did you need?
(10dpo) Like it probably takes a while to dry. Have you worn a sports bra in the meantime? Do you just have to lay still until it dries lol
So many mixed feelings but honestly super grateful for this group and everyone being so honest and open about their experiences cause gosh has it helped me through.
I always appreciate seeing the progress pics so here are mine, almost 1MPO.
640g removed from left and 580g removed from right (dense tissue.) Right is much slower to drop/fluff but I’m being patient!
Feeling great except for itchy (mostly in the evening?) and a small rash on the top of my right breast that my doctor isn’t concerned about (might be from heat/humidity— isn’t getting larger either.)
Anyone else on a similar timeline? How are we doing! :)
I have a big trip planned (involves cross country flight, lots of walking and sightseeing for a week). It’s scheduled right around two months post op for me. Is that a mistake? How long did it take you to feel back on your feet again and good for things like travel and all the exertion that comes with it after your reduction?
Well, I guess it’s my turn to share. I am so thankful for all of you, I’ve learned so much and it all helped me prepare beautifully for my surgery.
I am now 6DPO. I believe I’m healing well, I feel pretty good (just the regular soreness and tender to the touch. Also swollen AF.)
Pre op size: possibly 36/38 K or L. Hadn’t purchased a new bra in over 3-5 years maybe? 🤔
Post op size: no clue. Surgeon mentioned getting me to a DDD. I wanted a D. Main goal: As small as possible with no FNG. I’ll measure once things are more settled and hopefully post again for the massive mammary gland mamis!
Feeling: some days i’m up, some days i’m down. The whole thing feels surreal, especially days 2-3. I felt like I was in a dream? Lol. Today I tried on a few accessible tops in my closet. Just grabbed whatever previously didn’t fit and tried it on. All of the tops fit or were too loose. It made me smile like the Cheshire cat. I go between thinking I’m too big, too small and asymmetrical. I also just finished reading the pathology notes, my right side (the larger side) had more removed. So possibly more swollen due to this?
I’m happy that I did this for myself. I never thought I would, as this is something I’ve been wanting for 15 years. I also had to wait until I was in the right frame of mind and space. I suffer from depression and anxiety and you need to kinda deal with your shit before surgery (could not have done this any earlier due to my mental health tbh).
If I had any advice, it would be to thoroughly do your research, advocate for your needs, be realistic with your boob size/shape/density (this impacts results) and just fucking do it.
Before and after pics: I think I was 3DPO in the afters (first time I showered - terrifying but not that bad).
Edit: 7DPO - swelling in the right has gone down significantly and matches the left. I am so happy, trust the process.
Also my surgeon was Dr. Karan Mehta in NYC if anyone is interested. Great team, focused on results and aesthetics. My insurance approval was also quick through UnitedHealth Care.
Hi I’m
Not sure if anyone remembers me but I was as the person who was absolutely horrified a night ago! I just. Had surgery and woke up about 30 min ago and I feel great! I was after I was sacred for no reason!!
Hi all,
I’m 2 dpo. Honestly, for the first two days, I’ve barely felt any pain, but towards the end of today, I started feeling a lot more and then I started getting weird sensations like tickly pinpricks all across my boobs almost like sensation returning, but it’s kind of freaking me out and I was hoping that other people could provide insight on what it felt like when they started getting sensation back and how soon they got sensation back. I feel like I just wasn’t informed well enough about what to expect postop as far as what pain feels like when I might feel it and other things beside pain that may be new sensations. Also, anyone else experience post anesthesia anxiety ???
I just got my breast reduction approved after five months with Aetna. They originally denied it in March. I submitted an appeal. They denied the appeal. I submitted a second appeal. It was denied. The next step was an outside evaluation and appeal. I submitted all my documents and I just found out I was approved!! After 5 months!!
I did not meet the gram threshold, but I showed documentation that I had been to the chiropractor, physical therapist, tried cream for my rashes, better bras, massage and had constant back pain. I have my chiropractor write me a letter as well as my physical therapist, and everything was documented by my surgeon in my chart. It was such a long process, but I am so happy I did not give up. Please feel free to PM me any questions that you have and I’m happy to help. The document I sent over for the last appeal were 30 pages. I sent every single piece of information I could.
Hi there!! I am 10wpo as of today (yay!!) at my 6wpo appointment my surgeon said i had a couple tight spots, one kind of significant one under my left nipple (you can see the dent in the third photo) which i think is responsible for the sort of snoopy nose shape i’ve been struggling with. My surgeon suggested easing up on wearing bras to allow gravity to help assist the drop but I am starting to get concerned that this unnatural shape and slightly downward pointing nipples will stay. I think they look great from the front but from the side I think they look a little odd. Has anyone else experienced this? If so what helped to improve the contour? Do we think the tissue will just settle with time? I have a 3 month appointment in a few weeks so I will definitely be bringing it up I just want to avoid a revision if possible. Thanks!
From a 30GG with some big time sag after weight loss to lifted smaller boobs finally! Relief on my back is immediate!
I love my results so far after having extremely saggy, tubular breasts my entire life. I’m worried once the swelling subsides, they’ll look more deflated and saggy again. I know everyone’s healing and results are different but has anyone’s breasts looked very different after they’ve healed? I also feel like the space between my clavicles and where my breasts start is a very long space. Is that just unfortunate anatomy on my end or am I being too harsh on myself? I was thinking they’d be up a bit higher.
This is like actually crazy. This is my favorite sleep shirt and I wanted to try it on for shits and giggles 2.5wpo!!!
I went from a 34DDD to maybe a C/D? Too early to tell bexause of all the swelling.
Also I can’t put my arms down all the way to my side yet due to all the swelling and discomfort!!
Lots of swelling and bruising but not worried about it. The right one is more swollen but it’s the one my surgeon reduced the most.
Got 1,1kg removed in total (2,5lbs), everything went great and recovery is fine so far, the pain is super manageable, it feels more like a sunburn. Extremely tired though.
Thank you everyone in this group, it helped me take the decision to get one. Wish I had done it sooner !
(Second pic is mirrored, the bigger one is my right one)
I am already in complete utter shock and gratitude 😭😭😭😭
