Burning sensation

When wearing my cage (Cobra style Nano from Amazon), after a while it feels like burning where the ring sits under my balls. Did anyone experience similar sensations? What did you do to make it stop? I tried cream, didn't help. Maybe the ring is too small? Open to any recommendation:)

After a few months of wearing no jewelry, I had to restart at 2mm. Do you thing it is to big? like it has a too big diameter?
