Did I overdose that one time?
So months ago when I was using, I took an unmeasured amount orally, dissolved in water. It was not a large amount, was like two tiny shards and one larger shard, either way it was very small, together was about 1cm diameter. I didn’t take anything else with it.
It was a hot day and I went out to some sort of show or performance and had a good time. But when I got back home my heart was hurting a little tiny bit. Also, this was only five hours after I took it, and usually it’s supposed to last way longer orally, I know because the first time I took it, it lasted an entire night.
So I lay in bed, the euphoria was gone, but I still couldn’t sleep. My body was trembling very hard so I drank a bottle of water and some sports drinks to replenish electrolytes and indeed it helped with the trembling a lot. It felt like a typical comedown but normally I don’t get heart pain. This was also only my second or third time with meth, I believe.
As the time passed, the heart pain got worse. It wasn’t super painful, but the ache remained as well as a pressure or squeezing feeling that got stronger. I looked it up online and that’s classic heart attack symptoms. Anytime I turned over, sat up, lay down, my heartbeat seemed to flutter. The pressure and discomfort would come in waves and I’d be convinced I was about to die. Breathing got harder too.
I manage to tide myself over until morning by which point I call an ambulance. My trembling returns and my left hand seems slightly swollen which was alarming as fuck.
Fast forward they run all the tests, EKG, x-ray, drug screen. They tell me there’s zero signs of heart attack and my heart is actually in good condition. They tell me it was just a panic attack.
Now I’m not one to claim I know better than medical professionals, but it was a busy morning at the hospital with many critical patients so is there a possibility that because it wasn’t a heart attack they just assumed it was not a heart-related issue at all? What if it was a smaller heart-related issue? I’m not asking for reddit medical advice, but just wondering if anyone has had a similar such experience and if it turned out to be something more serious. I have not had any more situations like this on meth.
