Rope and impact play after thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

Hi everyone,

In march I had a DVT (probably provoked by going on the contraceptive pill) and got pulmonary embolisms too.

Right now I am on blood thinners. Just went to see the pulmonologist for a "checkup", she told me I can stop the thinners at the end of june. I am not doing any bdsm play as long as I am on the medication, but what to do afterwards?

I asked the doctor about the risks of reclotting from bondage and impact play, but she said nobody had ever asked her something like that and that she just did not know.

We talked about it a little and she said that since my dvt was probably provoked, I should not be at a very high risk of reclotting, and just to be careful not to be immobilized for too long.

With regards to impact, I found this article about how women who are the victim of domestic violence are at increased risk of dvt from their bruises, which is not reassuring. I have not found a lot about doing rope after a dvt.

So, any doctors or people who have had clots who know more about this?
