Please help! I would like to make a full year calendar/list of all "nude days" and weeks, e.g. Naked Gardening Day, Home Nudist Day, Naked Hiking, Day, WNBRs, gatherings, etc. Including international days/weeks. First, plan to bring along a small tripod and phone holder. I use a small, pocket-sized Ultra-pod tripod that I can position my phone at ground level that has a camera compatible screw mount and swivels over a wide range. My Square Jellyfish phone holder has a compatible thread and also swivels.
I recorded my hike in short in segments as it progressed. Each segment has a "departing" part (walking away from the phone) and a "returning" part (walking toward the phone). In this video I chose to use the "departing" portions of each segment, editing out the part where I push the record button, and also editing out the "returning" part. Note I always walk in from out of frame. I also always walked to an out-of-frame spot on the "return" part, in case I want to make a 2nd video of the same hike from the opposite perspective someday. This combination of techniques helps make the end product look like one continuous walk, instead of a bunch of shots of me walking back and forth.
I could potentially make a second video using the "returning" parts of each segment, and I probably will eventually.
After the hike I ended up with a bunch of segments; short disconnected video files that I dragged-and-dropped into my video editing software to make one longer continuous video using trims, fades, and crossfades in my video editing software.
In this case the software I used was Apple iMovie, but Kdenlive is a similar free (and excellent) program for Linux and Windows. Video editing software has somewhat of a learning curve. It can be frustrating getting started so patience is a must.
When I finished, I uploaded my video to a free video hosting website that allows nudity, called Vimeo. Be sure to set the parameters for your video's page correctly, (change "All audiences" to "Mature" in the dropdown and check the Nudity checkbox below that) so your video won't get flagged by the website.
Style tips ... Note I added interest to the "story" by including, for example, my departure from and return to my cottage, and brief stops along the way, including an old stone foundation. You could also include things like natural (e.g. rocks and waterfalls) and man-made (e.g. bridges, fences, and gates) features in the woods. Interesting trees, plants, and flowers, interesting bugs, and animals could also add interest. You could also walk through the frame, e.g. from left to right (that one didn't occur to me at the time).
I chose not to add music, preferring the natural crunch of leaves, but that's of course something you could do if that suits your taste. You probably shouldn't add narration unless you can make it something really interesting to go with the video.
