Complete beginner making a Leather Tawse found in this exact Reddit from few years ago
I was looking for some time for a new Impact Toy / Whip for self-play, and saw online a Scottish Tawse. Since im somewhat small Human Being, the size i found online was just too big. Especially the handle, and i wanted something that will fit into my small hands. And decided to do it myself. Bought a two meter long Cowhide (3cm wide and 2,5mm thick onesided), as seen in the picture. Some chicago bullets, screws and some wood. And with the tools that my Partner has at home made this in the end. Unfortunately i didnt have some better scissors or knife to cut the leather straigther, but im happy the way it turned out. And of course even happier after trying it out. I will definitely try this again and probably do the upper one in some near future 😁
