So right from the start I've established that I prefer cages that have vertical slits in the front. The main advantage is that it's very easy to pee (standing is trickier but doable) and the hole is wide enough so that I can adjust if need.

After that I've tried about 8 of them, all with vertical slits. But I find the selection rather limiting, about 2/3 of cages are not that. They have either open design with a round hole in the center and bars going from it to all sides or more closed design, with some holes.

Take this one for example. The hole in front is 2mm, maybe 3mm wide. There's no way you can control the position of the penis inside. If you're going to pee, you're going to do that mostly inside the "cup" and make a mess. At least I think so.

The solution would be to use any type of insert to keep the urethra aligned to the opening but it doesn't come with a catheter and I don't like them anyway.

If you have and use a cage like this or any cage without a slit in the front and no special measures of aligning (pa/sprout), what's the toilet experience for you?

So about a month ago my SO went on a trip to see the family and I found a little bit too much free time on my hands.

It turns out that one of the ways I process emotions and changes is programming. This time it's my newfound admiration of what y'all are doing here and I've decided to practice in making iOS applications. (sorry but usually small cross-platform applications use web platform as a common ground and I do web development daily, it's not an exciting thing for me)

I obviously know about chaster and know of other BDSM apps that have a chastity element but what I wanted to make was something more covert, more normal, like a habit tracker, with no obvious indication of what it's for, kind of like "if you know you know".

This reflects my attitude towards this kink: I'm tired, very very tired of seeing people (especially on twitter but here too sadly) draw strong connection between chastity and sissification or cuckoldry. I'm aware that there is a correlation but I don't like this being displayed as a default way of things. No shame, it' just not me and not for me.

So anyway it's not a diary, I just wanted to explain why it’s the way it is, what ideas I want to convey with this application and kind of manage your expectations a bit. Let me show you what I've come up with. If you're a happy chaster user you most likely don't need this. I have no intention of competing with such big and well thought out platform.

what it is:

So I have three ways of making a session. First is just a stopwatch. Start and finish your sessions as you want. Second is lock for a specific amount of time. X weeks Y days Z hours, you know what I mean. Third is basically the same but until a specific time in the future. I also have a "photo" support where you take a photo of the lock and it keeps it in secret until session ends.

You can also take breaks every X time for Y time and Z penalty if not locked up in time. If you set a photo at the beginning you need to make a new one.

So you may ask why not just use chaster? Turns out I can offer you something chaster (being a web app) can't. First, it's widgets, there's basic "remaining time" widget and there's a calendar showing how much time you've spent locked this month (I wanted to make it look like apple fitness circles but it's too cheeky)

Second is Shortcuts integration. It's a bit limited at this moment but there's some potential. Especially when I add an option to extend session haha

Third is that there is an Apple Watch application which can't do much but it can display the timer. And complications. Fun.

what it's not:

• there is no social aspect. remember it's a hobby project that I've decided not to keep to myself
• there is no online functionality. all data is kept on the device. this is a beta, shit can go sideways. I once forgot to attach a photo of a lockbox, which resulted in two things: there is now a warning about that and I can now pick that lock box. So yeah, emergency key, you know the drill.
• there is no paid functionality and unless I invest a considerable amount of time into that app, there won't be.

word of caution:

Since there may be bugs and there is no upper limit to the session length, you can find yourself in a pickle. For that purpose, there is an "escape hatch" that lets you end the session, show a photo if you've saved one. But! Big but: I’ve only now realised that it’s only available on a debug build meaning you won’t see it. I’ll make sure to include it in the next build. Sorry, first time dealing with appstore.

I'm marking it as spoiler as to not ruin the joy for others like I did for myself

So I know that unless you're doing serious stuff such as PA/tethersprout every cage can be defeated so the lock is merely a symbol and we're all supposed to play this "oh-no-i-can-not-escape" game. I get that. I'm okay with that.

But today, just as many people here were shocked that they can just pull out, I was shocked how bad the keyed-alike locks are.

I don't expect them to pose a formidable barrier due to their size but come the fuck on (sfw)

I'm just starting practicing this kind of hobby. I've ordered like six different cages to for shits and giggles and they've came with the same exact lock. I'm no LPL but each one can be opened in like five seconds by a safety pin

I personally feel like this is even worse than being able to pull out: that way the balls are still trapped. However having lock this bad is like having no lock at all. I don't need to have an emergency key on me. I just need an emergency safety pin.

do yourself a favor and order a randomized one (not that there are a lot of combinations but still)
