This is always an interesting topic for me especially with how much I’ve seen it brought up recently. So many opiate users agree that heroin should be brought back and if it was up to the people who actually use this stuff, they would completely get rid of fent/zenes and just keep that tan/brown chunky H that was around in the 2000-2010s, and so available during those times.
Of course there are many factors to consider why the change has been so significant in the last decade - to where now heroin is almost impossible to find in the USA unless you’ve got some type of mega plug or you’re just blessed.
In my opinion, I think once the cartel hooked up with china and began learning from them the pre cursors needed for fentanyl synthesizing and how easy and cheap it is to produce compared to heroin, they made the decision to switch to mostly fentanyl production in the opiate department. I think this is the biggest factor, but I could be wrong.
With the majority of major cities being flooded with fentanyl and xylazine like Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, all of California, and all of the surrounding cities and suburbs also now following suit - I don’t see heroin making a comeback unfortunately anytime soon.
I do sometimes come across videos from Afghanistan where they are still doing the right thing and cultivating poppies the correct way - still making opium gum and refining it to REAL heroin, and it looks beautiful. Almost brings a tear to my eye. (Lols)
So there are regions in the world still untouched by the fentanyl and china/mexicos bullshit. Unfortunately, it looks grim for the USA/Canada, and even in the UK I’ve now heard of this poison being there. But in Europe in places like Netherlands, the Middle East, and im sure places like Vietnam etc. also have pure unadulterated heroin too.
