Dekeratinize

As I am going through the process of restoring (almost 3 months in), I have determined that I do not want to dekeratinize until I have natural coverage. If it happens then so be it, but I do not want to intentionally do it until my natural skin is covering my glans. While I know the majority of my sensation will return from dekeratinization, but I don't want it to happen too early and either always retain or feel uncomfortable.

Are there others like me or am I an anomaly?

Lower CI Using Mantor Flow

Guys that are at a lower CI level (3 or lower), did you that using the Mantor Flow caused urinary issues? After using mine for approximately a month, I developed urinary issues. I went to the doctor because I thought UTI, but my cultures came back normal. They said that they think my prostate was inflamed. That was last Monday; I felt much better on Saturday so I wore my flow yesterday and within two hours it felt like it did a few days before. My urethra was very sensitive when urinating, but kind of an odd feeling while wearing. When I got home from church I switched to the CAR1 and within an hour or two, felt closer to normal again.

I think I'm trying to figure out of my CI is too low to use the Mantor. I'm currently a very high 2, low 3, and wondering if it's having to push the shaft back too far for enough skin which is causing my issues.

Deodorize

What is best to deodorize a pee through device? I'm using the Mantor Flow and it's beginning to smell like urine pretty bad.

@u/mantor-restorer, can you help?

Feeling Motivated

I believe either I have gained a CI level in just a little over a month or I was a higher level than originally thought. When I started on May 11, I had wrinkles in my skin when flaccid but no extra when erect (not tight, just no extra skin). I now have bunching at the corona when flaccid and enough that I can pull skin over corona when erect. I am stoked!

Interesting

You know the saying "the grass is greener on the other side"? I find this to be very true, even with foreskin. There is a group of intact men that wish they were circumcised. And here we have a group of cut men that wish they were not. I find it interesting that for about every guy that wishes they were never cut, there is a guy that wishes they were.

Honestly, I hope that the guys that are still intact, do not get cut and regret it and; if they do, they find this group.

EDIT: I think my post may have lost its original context.

  1. I was making an observation based on some posts in the uncircumcised group; not an argument either way.

  2. I thought it interesting that with all of us guys here that are actively restoring there are intact men wishing they were circumcised for one reason or another (primarily esthetics).

  3. There are far more wanting to restore than to be cut, but that doesn't negate the observation.

Wetness

Just an observation, but I did not realize how much I sweat down there until wearing the devices. Every time I remove the device, there is a ton of moisture. It really doesn't matter if I'm wearing the CAR1 or the Mantor Flow or even the retainer, there is a lot of moisture and sometimes precum.

How often do you have sex with your spouse?

I thought my wife and I had a normal sex routine. However, after talking with a couple of people on here, I've learned we do not. It got me to wondering what is the typical routine of the average couple.

Already Improvement

I'm only a week in and I already have improvement in sensitivity; I noticed improvement day 2. While I am using the CAR1, I imagine it's specifically because I'm covering the glans and keeping it from rubbing everything. However, it is motivation to KOT.

Restoring with Devices

I have determined that restoring with a device would be so much easier and better if I were a nudist. Almost all of the discomfort I have wearing a device comes from my clothing. Primarily how it makes my penis bend with the device when I sit or bend over. I'm on day 3 of wearing a CAR and the device itself gives some discomfort from to time, but for the most part it is my pants and underwear.

I'm hoping that as I wear it and get used to it, that will subside. I haven't really had any skin fatigue, well I did a little the first day, but for the most part I've been able to wear it 12 hours each day.

CAR-1

I just received my CAR-1 device, excited doesn't begin to express how I feel. However, how much air do I pump in? I understand that it shouldn't be painful, but I am unsure of the level of discomfort I should have. I am afraid that if I put too little, I will just be wearing the device for no reason with no results.
