Was it just us, or was Shed 16 incredibly busy on Saturday night? It's only the second time we've been on a Saturday night (and we had a GREAT time, don't get us wrong!), so we were wondering if that's the usual size of a Saturday crowd, or if it was just busier than normal?

It also felt like there were definitely more than fifteen single men in attendance for the evening. We didn't count them, of course, but there definitely seemed to be more than fifteen. Is that usual, or was it just that big of a night?

After waiting a few days to let others post a review if they felt so inclined, we've decided to share the love for an amazing, informative, social event hosted last weekend by u/condemned_northman and his lovely partner (who we're sure has a Reddit account of their own, but we're not sure what the @ is), as posted over here.

We, admittedly, got there 30mins late (thank you, traffic gods...), but arrived as the main evening began with a welcoming greeting, a delicious coffee, and some light snacks and refreshments that lead into the night.

This was a strictly no-play event meant purely for social conversation and easing newcomers (and, in our case, shy introverts who still feel - at times - like newcomers to this day), and in our opinion; it was a slam dunk!

What followed was an extremely easy-going, comfortable, and enlightening evening around kink, BDSM, swinging, and an introductory evening to all that encompasses these parts of the lifestyle, and more.

Hearing from our wonderful hosts about their journeys and their experiences was incredibly enlightening and validating to our own experiences, and with the warmth of such a lovely setting surrounded by likeminded individuals, it was just wonderful to talk so openly and freely about conversation topics, ask questions, and share our own experiences and struggles that we otherwise wouldn't be able to share in vanilla settings.

We're exceptionally grateful, as we're sure are the other attendees are too, to our lovely hosts for setting aside time from their Saturday afternoons to share with us so much information, knowledge, and to do so in a way that respected our time, didn't condescend anyone, and treated everyone with dignity and respect.

As folks who've basically seen and done it all, we couldn't think of any particular pieces of feedback to share, outside of maybe an introductory circle for those in attendance (if everyone felt comfortable to do so) so we knew the names of other attendees, but we also recognise we were late and this may have happened prior to our arrival.

We had a great time, spent time afterwards wishing we were going to Shed that night because we felt so empowered to go have fun (alas, we had another engagement to get to), and we hope everyone else who attended had just as great a time as us.

10/10, would attend next event.

Hi everyone,

We (34 (he/him), 33 (she/they) - both bi and both long-term swingers) are keen to attend Pineapples for the first time on July 3rd for their third Curiosity event, however we submitted for vetting before the last Curiosity event nearly two months ago, and still haven't been contacted.

We've tried to reach out a number of times, and we're not having any luck contacting the venue or hearing back from them.

We were wanting to check Pineapples out on recommendation of one of our best friends, coupled with a night geared specifically to bisexuality, and this is turning into a pretty negative first impression that is turning us away from their venue.

Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone have any solutions to throw our way?

Or do we just pack it in, and go to Shed or Between Friends that night instead?

We’ll be wearing silicone bisexual wristbands, so we’ll be easy to spot, and we’ll probably be in the small, interior hot tub soon after arriving.

Our play style;

Whilst we’re both openly bisexual, we understand that not everyone else is, and that’s okay. We always respect boundaries, practice safe sex, and always go at the pace of those joining us for the sake of everyone’s comfort.

We (He/Him 33 and cis, She/They 33 and NB, both bi) are planning on checking out Pineapples for the first time on May 15th for their Curiosity night. As an openly bisexual couple, we feel that this could be the event we've been waiting for!

About us and what we're looking for:

We're an early 30's tattooed bisexual couple who've been in the LS for a long time, and with each other for a lot, lot longer. We've been to Wet a couple of times, Shed give-or-take half a dozen times, and Between Friends probably close to twenty times. This is in addition to many private plays with couples, single men, and single women going back over fifteen years.

We're big fans of anime, manga, video games, comic book movies, and Star Wars, with a casual following of WWE (these days, we used to be a lot more fanatic about it ten years ago).

We've seen this statement in relation to Shed a few times, but we don't actually know what this is in reference to.

Every time we've been to Shed (currently eyeing off our next visit in May or June, to be honest - we were considering tonight, but can't make it), we've always explored the venue and there's no "two sides" to the venue, from what we can tell?

Is anyone able to provide clarity? Is there a whole part of Shed we've yet to explore? Hot tubs left un-relaxed in? Play rooms not played in?
