New to this, so here goes nothing.

I’m 42, 5’6 (short king energy), attractive, outgoing, and usually the guy convincing everyone to stay for “one more drink” or hit the dancefloor. I love good conversation, witty banter, and people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I am pretty left of centre so if that's not your thing it's probably best to move on.

Into theatre musicals included (yes, straight guys can enjoy musicals and I will absolutely embarrassingly belt out favourites in my car), nature walks, live music, films, and discovering random hidden gems around the GTA. I speak fluent French and a bit of conversational Spanish too… quiero practicar contigo!

I’m a cat person, but I’m willing to tolerate dog people… within reason.

So, I was chatting with this woman (let’s call her TM) that I met through this sub, (she called me “wings”) Banter was amazing...we really seemed to click. We even made plans to go for a hike this morning.

And then… poof… she deleted her profile and ghosted me.

Could’ve wallowed in it, but instead, I went to the trail we had planned and had a genuinely nice hike by myself. Saw tons of cool birds, a snake, and honestly felt pretty great being out in nature. Still stings a little that I did it solo, but I’m choosing to focus on the positives.

So, TM, if you’re reading this: thanks for the inspiration for a great morning! And if any other women in the GTA want to join me for another hike, I’m always happy to chat.

Sometimes the adventure doesn’t need a partner, but it’s always nicer with one.
