Reasonable fee for cover design on Fiverr?
Hello all,
I’m attempting to publish my first end to end short story on the kindle store. My plan is to go through the process once to get a feel for it, and then with each iteration, improve each of the various components (story, blurb, cover, marketing, etc).
I’ve been a bit stuck in terms of coming up with a a cover. I have no artistic talent, so it seems to me that a reasonable approach is to outsource to a designer on Fiverr. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see many people there advertising this service.
My question is, what is a reasonable fee to pay for a custom cover design? And as a follow up, any tips on making sure I’m not getting scammed into paying money for someone to just type a prompt into an AI image generator?
I suppose I might as well ask if anyone could DM me a referral for a cover designer that they particularly like.
