Advice on natural fingernails and toenails? 🫣

I’ve really been leaning more into a “natural chic” look lately and focusing on subtly enhancing my natural beauty instead of overdoing everything. One thing I’ve been super on the fence about is keeping my nails natural.

I do my own pedicures, and honestly my feet do look a LOT prettier with polish, but I’d really prefer to just keep them clean with maybe a clear coat. Same with my hands — my nails are damaged and kind of struggling right now from constant press-ons and over-filing, and I really want to grow them out long, healthy, and natural again.

I think what makes me feel weird about it is how much pressure there is as a woman to always have your nails “done,” especially in this industry where appearance matters so much. I’ve always gotten compliments on my nails from men that were spending on me, so I know they notice details like that. But right now I’m in that awkward in-between stage where they’re healing and growing out, and it’s making me feel oddly ungirly or less polished.

I know I’ll probably feel a lot better once my natural nails are healthy and grown out again, but for now I’d really love advice or tips from women who went through the same transition and learned how to feel confident embracing a more natural look.
