Struggling to cope with my parents heroin addiction

Maybe this isn’t the right sub but I need some advice from addicts themselves.
I’ve known about my parents addiction for over 5 years and it’s been going on a lot longer than that. They keep making me false promises that they will stop or get better and I offer help and anything they need to go to rehab but they just won’t/cant.
I don’t know what to do anymore.
I’ve had my fair share with drug use as a teenager but never opiates, but I do understand how hard they are to come off especially after that long. But if your child repeatedly expresses how much it hurts them, would that not give you some sort of initiative to want to get help/better?
I have to live at home with them and it’s so hard seeing it all the time as it’s literally killing them, I can see how depressed they are and the physical effects. It’s just impossible to deal with anymore.

Any advice is appreciated!
