Today I smoked my father’s gran oferta. I had heard good and bad things about this cigar so I thought I would see for myself. The smoke had a semi sweet tobacco flavor throughout with light red pepper dancing in the background. There was also a wood flavor I couldn’t quite put my finger on maybe an oak type flavor. All in all a pretty good smoke construction was excellent and the burn needed one touch up. I would call this a good beginner cigar if they want to take the next step up to mid range.

I was very excited to smoke this cigar as I really like La aromas offerings. I was kind of let down by this cigar I got a little bit of chocolate and a little bit of espresso. Finishing with pepper. Other than that very smooth plain flavorless smoke. It could have been my palate because I had just ate a large amount of Chinese food. Burn and construction perfect plus a ton of smoke. I don’t think I would buy this again.

Wow, what’s to say about this cigar that hasn’t been said. I have been wanting to try this for sometime but had a hard time finding it. I found one in petite robusto which I enjoy that vitola they are like little flavor bombs. Burn was fantastic and construction was spot on. The cigar when lit opened up with a sweetness like honey and graham crackers transitioning to honey and marshmallow with pepper dancing around in the background. While I was nubbing it, it finished with quite a bit of pepper earth and leather. This is a top notch cigar that should be considered for cigar of the year.

So I had the my father Connecticut this morning 6x60. First light I got a burst of that infamous my father pepper after about half an inch in the cigar transferred into a quite enjoyable creamy nutty flavor very mild. This lasted until the final third where an un enjoyable pepper showed up. Over all a very up and down flavor profile. Construction wasn’t that good when the first band came off the cigar unraveled a little bit burn was great. Over all meh for me
