Not to say they’re bad, but genuinely been thinking this past couple of weeks. I’ve had great cubans of course but I’ve also had so many that tasted poor or the draw is very hit and miss.

Whenever I get down to the last… 30% of a cigar, the flavour changes drastically and I find it to be hard to smoke and a lot less enjoyable. Am I doing something wrong?
Went shopping a few weeks ago at cigar international in Pittsburgh. Brought home a nice line up of cigars (I have already smoked the lighter bull moose, the intemperance, and an Arturo Fuente maduro). Just curious what people's thoughts are on these cigars? I enjoy both connecticuts and Maduros, and havent quite decided on a preference for size of cigar yet.

So far, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Plasencia Reserva Original and Davidoff Winston Churchill The Statesman. Those are probably my favourites at the moment. Pleasencia is still affordable, but Churchill...£35...
I’ve also smoked Cohiba Espléndidos, Drew Estate Deadwood Sweet Jane, Buenaventura Petit BV, Tabak Especial, Regius, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, and a few others.
Any recommendations for something along the lines of the Plasencia Reserva Original? I generally prefer medium-strength cigars with plenty of flavour.
I’m in the UK, so cigar prices are absolutely mental. I usually spend around £16–£40 per stick.

Luckily i live in Florida, but this has me thinking for some of you - couldn't you buy a P.O. Box in Florida (or other state without cigar tax) and set up mail forwarding to your address? For instance, in Florida many people live here for the winter. I'm sure they have mail forwarding while they are here, and again when they leave. USPS allows it for up to 365 days I believe. If there is an issue related to the age verification for delivery, there are also options for a virtual business address (essentially a building that gives a ton of different "suite" numbers for having a physical street mailing address, which could do the same mail forwarding setup.
It has this beautful etched pattern on what I would assume is brass(?) Has the text "Dresen Solingen Germany". Comes with a gold striped white box. I found similar looking ones online from th 1960s. I don't know anything about cigars so I thought this would be the right place to ask.
Many changes in life over the last year. This was the first cigar I sampled at my new house in a new state.
I’ve been working on my humidors, got them stabilized and will work on filling them over the next couple months.
This was a Crowned Heads Tennessee Original “Broadway” purchased at my local shop.
Absolutely excellent burn, smooth and easy draw, paired it with Monkey Shoulder and it was fantastic.

Is it okay?
Does it still need Bovedas, or is it electric?

My Father Tobaccos Baez SF Robusto
I'm always on the hunt for a good daily driver budget stick to order in bulk. I was a bit skeptical about tobacos baez because I didn't really recognize the blend and the wrappers in the shop all looked a bit odd to me. I just figured "where's the catch"
I am so glad I listened to my curiosity because this was a super pleasant experience. While the wrapper appeared to be of low quality the flavor was superb. I got the creaminess and flavor I normally get from a nice clean Connecticut with that Nicaraguan spice we all know and love. Into the second third cream gave way to cedar and even more spice.
Unfortunately, the final third is where it fell apart. There were about 3 times the cigar went out. I'm not sure if maybe my puffing was bad, or maybe it's due to the short filler nature of this stick but by the time I got to the final third, all of the relights and the frantic puffing to keep the stick from tunnelling and going out again lead to extreme harshness. I got stale flavors no spice and had an entirely unpleasant experience. I smoked rare pink all the way down earlier today and I wanted to do this with Tobacos Baez.
In an effort to finish my cigar I chopped an inch from the cherry and purged to an extreme degree before relighting. Still very harsh. I don't know if it's the way I was puffing or the cigar itself but it makes me hesitant to order a box
I will absolutely revisit to see if I can get one that's good all the way down
Do you guys ever encounter rampant tunnelling? I was told puffing too often or too fast cause it but it seems to happen to me more when I let a cigar rest, like the wrapper goes out first.

This month I am planning to buy 2 AJF samplers, probably the Toro and New World.
One of the mild to medium Stallone cigars I enjoy most. It's still a banger, but not as much as others in their lineup. This is the Alazan Corojo, with a Brazilian Corojo wrapper and very nice notes of pepper, cinnamon, cedar and nuts. I paired it with the Arabica coffee cask ST1796, which I like a lot, but for all the wrong reasons. I didn't find much in the notes of coffee in it, but it's very similar to the original 1796, but with 46% ABV, instead of the usual 40%.
That's what some tobacconist tell me. What do you think?

Views on swag are mixed. Some practically demand it as a necessity while others could care less or have so much they arent influenced by it. "I have enough ashtrays, cutters, hats, etc" is a common comment. Some manufacturers rely on it quite a bit while others scoff at it. The owner of one cigar company used to say when asked about swag "my customers can afford to buy their own clothing." What do you think? Is it important? If so what swag would you like to see that no one is producing?
Great cigar, but they went all out in mimicking a Cuban. Very tight draw, minuscule smoke production and would not stay lit. I honestly think they knocked it out the park, will buy more.
I've never paid tax on any online purchases but it's my understanding that there's a fairly steep state tobacco tax that is supposed to be paid and certainly is included in the prices locally. Am I committing tax evasion or have I misunderstood?
Rare Pink in the short story size
I'll be upfront and honest, I don't think the cigar was worth the price. I love that it goes to a good cause and I absolutely love the branding and styling that goes into it (marketing geek), but the flavor was no grander than a standard hemmingway.
That being said, the blend was fantastic and I adore the way these are rolled. I got a TON of natural sweetness from the wrapper on first light and then as the gauge opened up I got that flavor from the fillers.
This is where the disappointment started with this cigar, as the smoke became more filler forward I found a lot of familiarity with the flavor and I just couldn't place it. The band was so different and that high price commanded a ton of curiosity from me, why was this so... Ordinary. I brought this up to the shop owner and he told me it's hemmingway filler with an Oliva wrapper and honestly that made so much sense considering what my palate was experiencing. Very good smoke I'm happy I got it and I might get it again when my tongue isn't at tender. (I've really gotta lay off but I find myself missing the flavor so much, same goes for my spicy and acidic foods)
The cigar itself gave me a ton of cedar on the retro, when I puff at me usual way too quick pace I was getting coffee but letting it rest gave me a creamy milky taste I never get from a wrapper this dark. As it widened half of it went out but since then it's been smooth sailing
I'd recommend everybody tries this thing once. It's for a good cause and it's a good smoke, but at the price I'd rather buy 2 hemmingway short stories.
Have you guys tried this one? Do the other vitolas offer a different experience?
I'm new to regularly smoking, having done it infrequently before at parties. I've enjoyed the San Cristobal, Aroma de Cuba and Arturo Fuente sticks I've tried, but I'm curious about some of these cheaper makes.
