Just curious people's thoughts. To preface, I completely respect this person's boundary and that they don't want to move forward,, though did find his response a bit harsh (at the same time at least we're not wasting time!!!) We had exchanged several messages and I had just shared my photos, to which he then asked to do a video call tomorrow -- so presumably he didn't hate my photos.
I would much rather meet iRL over a quick coffee (and I am generally happy to meet in a location that is convenient for them).
Am I the only one who is wary of video? My career is just too public to risk it. Do most men assume women seeking to be an sb have nothing going for them and don't need discretion? idk. I share private photos that show my face and always always always have a phone convo prior to meeting IRL to avoid wasting time if we're not aligned. I also mention in my profile that discretion is very important to me.
Never had an issue with this (I've had very successful, long-term arrangements) but have noticed more men are requesting a video chat lately. Unfortunately, it's a boundary I am not willing to cross.
