it’s been a while but i just let one dissolve under my tongue and i don’t remember it being this minty

i really wish psychs weren’t so hard on these drugs. i know half us probably shouldn’t be using these in the first place but when you really think about it, it is truly a miracle that we developed a class of sedative/hypnotic drugs whose therapeutic index is so far below the lethal dose that benzodiazepine-only OD’s are practically nonexistent. can you imagine how many of us would be dead if all we still had was barbiturates?

that being said, it’s such a shame that the concern for addiction has outweighed the concern for patients who could really benefit from one of psychotherapy’s most powerful and useful drugs
