One of the things I never expected when I became a freelance massage therapist was the relationships I'd build over time.

Today, I had my regular monthly session with a couple (M42 & F37) from Majestic. We've known each other for quite a while now, and what started as a single booking has turned into a monthly routine.

As always, we didn't jump straight into the massage. We spent a few minutes catching up over coffee, talking about work, travel, and how they'd been feeling since the last session. Then we discussed any new pain points, areas that needed extra attention, and the pressure they preferred that day.

The husband had been dealing with tight shoulders and lower back stiffness from long hours at work, while his wife wanted more focus on her neck, calves, and feet after a hectic month. I customized each session based on their needs, checking in regularly to make sure the pressure was comfortable.

After the massage, we sat together for a while, shared a few laughs, and they insisted I stay for dinner. We ended up talking about life, family, and future travel plans more than massage itself.

Moments like these remind me that this profession is about much more than relieving muscle pain. It's about trust, consistency, and treating people with respect. When clients feel comfortable enough to welcome you into their home month after month, it becomes more than just a service. it becomes a relationship built on mutual respect.

I'm genuinely grateful for clients like them. They remind me why I enjoy doing what I do. 🙏

Had a really nice session today with a couple (M36 & F32), both working in Electronic City, Bangalore.

It was their first time booking a professional doorstep massage, so they had quite a few questions beforehand. We spent some time discussing their expectations, any pain points, preferred pressure, and how the session would work. Once they were comfortable, everything went smoothly.

Both had long workdays and were mainly dealing with neck, shoulder, and lower back stiffness from sitting at a desk for hours. I customized the pressure and focused more on those areas while keeping the session relaxing.

What stood out to me was how respectful and considerate they were with each other. They kept checking in on one another, asking if the other was comfortable. By the end of the session, they both mentioned they felt much more relaxed and wished they had tried massage therapy sooner.

As a freelance massage therapist, moments like these remind me that my work is about much more than massage itself. It's about helping people slow down, relieve stress, and create a comfortable space where they can genuinely unwind.
