It's my first story/fic I've written in years. My writing and knowledge on the setting is very rusty but I 100% accept any sort of criticism, tidbits, resources, comments, etc on how to improve. I want it to be a slowburn story in some ways, and I've been religiously reading multiple wikis and other works for inspiration. I hope yall enjoy the first chapter! It's short, and I know in future chapters that are longer I may fumble HARD if I havent already with managing multiple characters. I'm doing this out of pure indulgence but I wanna make sure I get it right ;w;

EDIT: TYSM CADENCE!!! I was informed I shoudlnt put cross fandom tags for the fic as to not expose people outside of the community to HDG unwillingly. I saw some people who have done crossovers (like with Helldivers for example) tag both fandoms, but now I knkw this is not proper etiquette for this setting! Tysm to her for the info!! :D

Ive been getting back into tf2 again and Ive also had somewhat of an idea on who would be getting what treatment. But as the game takes place in the 60's - 70's it would probably be set in like an AU where the setting is in that timeframe (i forgot what its called it was an AU ive seen either set in 1972 or 1974)

I dont know what my personal headcanons are for everyone yet, but I feel like for someone like Medic he would be fascinated with their medical advancements and utilization of body modifications and implants. Pyro kinda feels like they'd be either a Class O pet or at risk of being an O Pet but then is able to cooperate with the Affini. Soldier and Scout would have the "Free Terran" mindset and both would try and divise a way to get out of there, etc. If yall have any additions I'd love to hear them!

Edit: let me be clear ALL of them will be domesticated at one point or another. I cannot fathom after dealing with what they had been will have them come out unscathed. I can see some being feralist but NEVER independant
