Can a sub have “too much” experience?
First, I’m trying to write this in the most respectful way possible without sounding arrogant, bitter, or like I’m advertising myself, but I’m curious if there’s such a thing as a sub having “too much” experience in the online (and in person) kink space.
I completely understand that everyone has preferences, limits, and different comfort levels. But lately, in conversations with Dominant women online, I’ve started noticing a pattern that makes me wonder whether my level of experience is actually making it harder to connect with people.
Most conversations start easily and naturally, but as things progress, there’s sometimes a shift where it feels like they become intimidated, overwhelmed, or worried they can’t meet expectations.
To contradict myself a bit, I’ve also met and played with some incredible people through Reddit, and I absolutely plan to keep meeting new folks. It’s just a strange feeling realizing that the more experience you gain, the smaller the dating pool can start to feel.
I’m genuinely curious about everyone’s perspective on experienced subs. Do you see it as a positive, a neutral thing, or can it sometimes feel intimidating?
