Hello!
I haven’t seen too many reviews on the Lelo Switch which is fairly new, so I thought I’d share my thoughts on the toy.
For full transparency, Lelo kindly reached out and sent the product to me in exchange for user feedback after seeing my post about the Lelo Dot (which I purchased myself) here on this community. I wasn’t obliged to share my thoughts outside of the company but hopefully my experience is useful if you’ve been considering the Switch! I’m not a professional reviewer and still fairly new to toys but happy to answer any questions you might have ☺️
First Impressions / Ease of Use
Like my Dot, the Switch arrived in a discreet black box and comes with a silky black pouch for storage. I really love the premium look and feel of Lelo toys and the silicone material is not only really soft to touch but super easy to clean too. The Switch is compact and small enough to travel with - it roughly measures 22cm. Extra points for being waterproof and simple to charge via USB.
Power
Considering how small and compact the Switch is, I really didn’t expect it to be so powerful. This is my first time using a Wand and I know they’re known for delivering intense power but wow! I was honestly a bit taken aback when the levels kept increasing. Personally I didn’t feel the need to go beyond level 5 but this goes up to level 16 so I think most people will be able to really enjoy it.
When connected to the app you can also access two advanced ‘finishing’ modes which are seriously intense (I won’t lie, I jumped and was quite shocked when I clicked on them 😂). The modes might not be for me personally but if you’re after a versatile and strong toy I really don’t think you’ll disappointed.
App Compatibility
When researching Lelo toys in the past, I noticed the app had quite a few negative reviews but I think this has really been improved - at least with the newer toys. I had no problems logging in and was able to connect straight away. The app has 3 regular modes (plus the advanced modes I mentioned) - you can control the toy by twisting or shaking your phone, or moving your finger across the screen which is my favourite! This is one of the best features of the Switch imo- the buttons are accessible to operate easily in manual mode but the app makes it so much easier to increase levels and even create your own patterns! Changes sync with the toy quickly with little delay. It’s also really fun for use with a partner when you want to give them control. App compatibility was something I thought I wouldn’t really use before trying it out, but it’s definitely something I’ll look for in future now either for lelo toys and other toys. If anyone’s tried the Sona 3 let me know haha - that’s next on my list now!
Design/Performance/Orgasms
There are two sides to the Switch and this 2-in-1 element is a big pro for someone with a smaller collection. The insertable end is lightly textured and curved well so it was really easy to hit my g-spot. Size wise it was great for me but I do prefer something smaller during solo play. If you like larger dildos etc just keep this in mind as it might not be big enough for you!
Both ends vibrate without that mechanical ‘buzzy’ feeling to deliver deeper enjoyable sensations - you can turn on both ends simultaneously or one by one depending on the mode you’re in. The sensations intensify slowly and this is definitely a toy I like to reach for during longer sessions - the build up is amazing and orgasms are more intense and full bodied. In comparison, the Dot that I have is much more direct and intense, better for when you need to be quick, but tbh it’s not quite as satisfying as the Switch! It took me a while to get used to difference but I do find myself reaching for the Switch more than my Dot now.
I also prefer using the Switch with a partner and find the shape works perfectly in various positions. The Dot was always a little too intense (and slightly pointy in shape if you’re not careful) for use during sex but the Switch is a great companion!
One small con for me - due to its compact size, when both sides of the Switch are vibrating it can sometimes make your hand feel a little numb. This also happens if you’re just using the wand end but only when vibration levels are really high.
Conclusion
Overall I’m really pleased with the Switch and think it’s a fantastic toy - especially if you’re looking for something discreet yet powerful that can expand the versatility of your collection.
I was a little intimidated at first as a ‘beginner’ trying out a Wand for the first time, but the Switch has such a good range of modes and levels that I think beginners and more experienced users alike will love it!
Has anyone else tried to Lelo Switch before? I’d love to hear what you think of it - and any other Lelo / toy recommendations you might have!
