My Mia Femtech Experience

Heyyy so I’m just posting this to document my experience starting from the surgery day and so on since I got my surgery done yesterday ☺️ I know there’s a couple of people interested and I wished more people talked about it when I was searching about this so here it is:

First, let me start with some information about me/surgery:

- I’m 26 years old, turning 27 this year in August.

- (They took my height and weight measurements prior to the surgery but I don’t have the best memory so I’m just gonna say what I remember them saying lol)
Height ~ 155 cm
Weight ~ 54.3 kg

Here’s my experience so far:

Surgery day (yesterday, 6th June 2026):

- my appointment was at 11 am. A nurse took me from the waiting area and brought me to my room. They had a sheet full of questions about my information; whether I smoke or drink, if I’d had surgery before, when was the last time I ate and drank (I was advised to fast from 12 o’clock midnight the night before the surgery), etc. They also took urine and blood samples from me and measured my vitals.

- the doctor came in at 12 noon and started marking my chest for surgery and went through the process with me.

- shortly after that, I was taken to the operation room for surgery. I don’t remember much during this time as I fell asleep shortly after I was laid down and got ready for the surgery.

I’m not sure how or why I fell asleep. I remember feeling one of the nurses putting a needle through my arm but idk what it was as I wasn’t looking and one of the nurses was asking me questions, making sure that I knew my name, date of birth and the reason I was there.

I just want to note that I actually just got back from a flight in the early morning of the surgery day and fell asleep around 4 am, and woke up at around 8 am, which means I didn’t have much sleep. Which could also be the reason I knocked out during the surgery.

- When I finally woke up, I was already back in my room and mostly slept. I felt a bit dizzy and nauseous but was fine enough to eat the food that they gave me. They left me to rest and I was discharged after a while.

- To sum up how I felt after the surgery, I was feeling dizzy, nauseous, and my chest felt tight and sore but it was tolerable. Any pressure I put on my arm caused my chest to feel more sore so I avoided that. My partner did everything for me this day so I didn’t move much and mostly slept when I got home. I woke up around 7:30 pm to eat and started taking the meds they gave to me. I still felt very sleepy and my chest was still sore and tight so I mostly stayed in bed and slept for the rest of the night.

Day 1 post-surgery:

- I’m feeling much better ☺️ probably because of the meds. I no longer feel very dizzy nor nauseous. The only feeling I have left is some tightness and soreness on my chest but I’m able to move around, just making sure to not move my arms too much or lifting heavy things.
- I am planning on taking a shower later as I was told that I can have a shower the next morning after surgery.

I will update more whenever I can. But so far, I’m happy and feeling better overall ☺️
