The person, a queer person, was kicked out of a club by the awareness team with the explanation in the moment that someone in the part accused them of having made them feel uncomfortable in the past. When the person reached back out to meet with the awareness team, they were told that the allegation is that they committed a serious domestic abuse in another country, a country that this person was born in but never lived in! Awareness team never asked for person's name the day of, not asked to verify identity or background day of or during the subsequent conversation. Awareness team also indicated that it was a third person that did the accusation. So there's a very high (if not certain) likelihood that the person was wrongly accused or pointed out of the crowd.

My question to the group: how does your awareness policy deal with a situation like this? Or what are your general thoughts? Looking to also brief awareness teams I work with on making sure there's a mechanism for this type of situation.
