Even the slow shifts contribute to your success. 🙂↕️🙂↕️ Don't forget about that. Here's a list of everything I managed to do.. thanks to making myself put in the work yesterday:
𖹭 started my car maintenance sinking fund
𖹭 saved a portion to pay my grandmother's bills
𖹭 gave myself $20 for clothing, $40 for new household decor, and $20 toward my garden
𖹭 saved an extra month of renters insurance payment
𖹭 paid for my phone bill
𖹭 put back 50% of my car insurance payment
𖹭 added to my grocery budget for the week
𖹭 placed around 85% of my dental insurance payment back (🥳 I get to fix my teeth this year!)
𖹭 saved the last $5 toward an emergency fund
**ALL** Progress is a step in the right direction. The discipline to break down my money to the very last dollar is going to pay off. There are always going to be rough patches along the way. You just need to keep your eyes on the goal and keep it up. Or as lil Wayne said... "You don't need a bus pass, you need to bust your ass."
Celebrate the smallest wins. Be proud of yourself when you put $2 in your savings account. Show graciousness and give back to those around you and your community. When you work shifts and make $200, take the time to sit down and contribute to your sinking funds. Pick the penny up off the ground n toss it in a jar for a savings deposit. Just get started.
What did you accomplish with your last shift?
