PLEASE SET A USER FLAIR BEFORE PARTICIPATING!! Don't know how to set one up? Click here!

As a "did you read the rules" and general anti-spam check, this subreddit requires you to set a user flair before posting and commenting.

If you don't know what they are or how to set one, click here: https://sh.reddit.com/user/perv_claire/comments/1tl8jnr/

I would post this video directly to the sub but reddit HATES the idea of someone uploading a video to a NSFW sub, so I had to post it to my account directly and link it here. Please give it a watch if you're confused about this!

[POLL] Should we get rid of the user flair requirement for comments?

Heya kinksters!

So... I've kinda noticed there's been a bit of an uptick of people that just attempt to comment, get their post auto-removed... And then... Never come back.

Do people not realize how user flairs work? Do people not like them? Do they not realize their post is getting removed at all? ...Is this rule alienating people that don't really use reddit much?

The main point of this being a rule is to weed out people who can't follow rules. With the logic being that if they can't do something as simple as clicking a few things once when they want to participate, maybeee they shouldn't be here outright. Plus it's a good anti-spam rule against bots and lame people that shotgun nudes and onlyfan links to every possible subreddit, thinking this place is yet another dime-a-dozen misgenderkink sub and not a roleplay/caption sub. And soooo far, in terms of posts, its worked real well! We've had a pretty healthy amount of posts here, whether it be new captions or people posting old faves.

But now I'm worried this rule is becoming less of a quality filter and is becoming an... Accessibility filter, in a bad way. On one hand I don't mind, since it's mostly been hitting the more "dm me pls", alpha dom, only comes for hookups type of users... but I've seen other trans folk getting hit or dming me confused about it lately as well. And the last thing I want is our main demographic getting turned away!

So... I'm thinking of getting rid of the user flair requirement for comments. That way comments are more accessible for people to participate. Posts will still require you to set a user flair. That way porn bots, crosspost spammers, and people that don't read rules still get filtered out and don't flood this place.

Gonna make it a poll though, just for the sake of getting the communities opinion(s). And if you have your own solution or thoughts about it, feel free to comment something!
