I guess this is more of a rant/vent post than anything, since I have no one I can really talk to about this in person.

I met my ex when I was 25 going on 26, and he was 40. We met at work, otherwise I don’t think our paths would have ever crossed. Normally, I would have never tried to date someone at work, but unfortunately since we were given notice of our branch shutting down and us being laid off, I gave it a shot to see if he was interested and he was.

We dated for around a year, and although it was short lived and I ended up breaking up with him, sometimes I still really miss it. I’ve never had such chemistry with someone, and felt a strong attraction that I literally wanted to jump his bones any chance I could. He was definitely a silver fox, and had such a zest for life that I can’t find with younger men/men my age. Our compatibility was so strong in many areas as well.

Unfortunately for me he was pretty immature which is what ultimately led to our breakup, but sometimes I get frustrated that I can’t find an older man that I’m attracted to, who would be willing to date someone younger and who also has their life together. I hate reminiscing on my previous relationship because I know it wasn’t perfect, and I don’t plan on trying to get back together with my ex.
