I'm about to go live abroad and remotely, travelling a fair amount. I told my friend I was planning on bringing plugs in my luggage, and he is fairly paranoid and told me I would need to worry about homophobic TSA and border agents seeing my plugs in the bag and detaining me, deporting me, or denying me entry.

Is his paranoia unfounded? Or am I naïve? A bit of both? Does anyone here have experience travelling abroad with sex toys or plugs?
