Especially on Reddit 🫠 it’s not only about sending money. I bet this part is addictive for people. However, it’s deeper than that.

Being seen, having a role, feeling chosen and sometimes… feeling controlled in a way that feels safe, in a pretending safe setting. That’s the addictive part. Same for dommee : controlling one’s finances, the power in your hands, willingly given to you… that’s both risky and captivating.

Without this emotional layer it would t work. The real dynamic is psychological: control, attention, validation, projection…

People don’t pay for domination only. They pay for a feeling they can’t get elsewhere.

And that’s what makes it dangerous… and addictive.

The money is the proof, but the validation is the drug. Feeling seen, finally having a place. A role. A purpose.

Do you think the addictive part is mostly the money/drain itself, the feeling of being noticed and validated through it? Something else? What makes it so addictive ?
