Could it be that a preference for BDSM or MDLG has some kind of connection to being neurodivergent? In my case, I'm AUDHD (autism + ADHD), and in my personal experience, the idea of having a mommy in my life (which I don’t have yet), is very comforting to me, because there are times when I get overstimulated or constantly lose my composure due to academic pressure, and letting my “little” space run free really helps me relax and feeling happy :))
