What kind of weapons, wargear, fighting vehicles, esc. do the Affini use other than their natural speed and agility?

Similar to the last question I asked, but this time in general.

The Affini, when dealing with florets, seem to have a very individualized and specific approach to problem-solving. But when talking about actual Affini combat, there's a lot of focus on their speed, dexterity, xenodrugs, but not on the actual weapons they use beyond injectors and gas.

I figure with their approach, they would at least be somewhat likely to go out of their way to use individualized, master-crafted weapons rather than hold W and spam left click until all those dirty feralists (human rights activists) have been domseticated. Would they have any equivalents of machine guns, rifles, artillery, aircraft, or tanks? What do they like to use for long range to BVR combat? Do they have specific weapons for bringing down enemy tanks and jets to ground to tear out the crew? How portable are firebreak systems, could it be something like a specialist weapon deployed every so often or would every Affini rifleman carry one?

I was actually in the process of writing a loosely-Brigador-inspired SFW fic about an Affini invasion of a habitable colony that already broke off from the Accord to secure their own survival (before cancelling it after realizing nobody would care to read it, and that anyone who did would only hate it), and wondered what the equivalent of a motorized rifle platoon or squad of the Affini would look like. I was thinking they'd use xenodrug-firing accurate dart guns, but with tactics resembling that of a disorganized hunting party that each just wanna shoot shit with their favorite guns and clearly aren't taking this whole war business seriously. Each of the dozen or so hunters actually seen having their own unique weapon, if one at all.

I figure even the xenodrug gas would have to be shot out by something, like sprayers, orbital cannons, grenades, esc...

How do the Affini domesticate masses of feralists?

Any situation where humans or other sophonts attempt to oppose the Affini via safety in numbers rather than a specific weapon. Violently or non-violently.

I imagine the mass-surveillance state makes it difficult for any organized movement to take off, but I can still think of some niche scenarios where it might happen. The Affini only just arriving at a planet and being greeted by a riot, a specific xenosophont species that's more difficult to monitor (like having telepathy or something) and thus more likely to organize, a community spontaneously banding together to protect someone marked for unwilling domestication, even a honeypot political organization made to be crushed as a show of power and to round up people with unwanted sympathies.

With that out of the way, what kind of weapons and tactics do the Affini prefer to use against crowds? At least, crowds large enough that any single Affini would find to be inconvenient to domesticate or incapacitate one at a time. Think hundreds of people in one spot, or dozens within a cramped enough corridor or spot.

In a peaceful protest, how much leeway for surrender do they give until they open with the same non-lethal violence they would show any regular feralist? Do they have specific ranged weapons, like dart-firing machine guns and shotguns or gas grenade launchers, or do they rely on more exotic weapons? Do they have tanks, IFVs, and APCs for the job? Are their own ships and colonies trapped with sentry turrets and such just for such an occasion? Do they just yell at the largest individual Affini to take care of it? Do they try to hide their crushing of dissenters, or do they openly take pride in it, and broadcast it to the public?

With the sudden and radical rise of censorship, do you think H-games will eventually become functionally extinct, or will it eventually get better? Should I even bother learning how to make one?

I think I have lately wanted to eventually make my own porn game(s) sometime in the future, but I'm afraid.

I know developing those prerequisite skills, finding a proper team, and then making the game itself would take an extremely long time and be very difficult even under ideal circumstances. So besides the fear of taking so long that my libido dies down and I just lose interest entirely, I'm really really afraid that by the time I even reach that finish line, the puritans will have already done everything they can to erase porn from the internet.

The only thing that even gives me any shred of hope or inspiration is seeing how very kinky games like Cyan Brain, Mad Island, or Celsector have still managed to succeed in this otherwise hostile climate. But even then, I wonder if maybe they just got lucky.

Should I go ahead an pursue my dreams, or can them before I even begin to avoid yet another dead end in life?

Corruption-based games where staying too pure results in a bad ending?

Just curious if this was a concept any devs tried. I think the demo for "No I'm not a Human" had a special ending if you tried to speedrun the game, where everyone was suspicious of your attempt to get through life too quickly, as a sort of sardonic mocking of your attempt to speedrun at all.

So I wonder if there are any H-games that play with that concept too. Staying pure the whole way through resulting in significant unintentional consequences, like others seeing your unusually deliberate avoidance of everything sex-related as insecure, paranoid, or even cowardly.

What games should I think about getting in the final hours before the summer sale ends?

Yeah, title says it. Preferably steam but if people are running sales elsewhere, then...

Games that have been on the mind, are on Steam, that I might be interested in trying: Third Crisis, Salvor Deep, Voidbound, Cyan Brain, Flipwitch, and Tales of the Moon

Games I already enjoy (not already on steam tho): Celsector, Captivity, Long Name Tower Game, H-Doom

Kinks and things I think I like: Dubious consent and noncon, monster fucking, monster girls, tentacles, pregnancy and oviposition, sci-fi and fantasy, bondage, sexy outfits, exhibitionism, hypnosis, biting, submission/giving in, cheerful and colorful characters

Kinks and things I can tolerate: gore, death, incest, some dark or depressing moments

Kinks and things I think I dislike: games that would make you feel bad for enjoying lewd content, toilet stuff, actual sexism outside of BDSM dynamics, amputation/mutilation victim is forced to live with (amputation is fine if it's temporary, though)

I'd say I dislike NTR too, but maybe I can stomach it if it's the kind of thing you can ignore.

Can someone describe/sell me on both of the Third Crisis games? The conversations I've had about it seem to paint it as more depressing/tragic than it looks. Is it, against all odds, a sex-negative porn game?

Yeah, that's quite a bold claim, I know. I've just heard a lot of conflicting things about some of the most highly-praised games here.

I'm familiar with some plot points, but I dunno much about it. I'm imagining it could just be that the connection between sex and evil is meant to be erotic in its own way, but I have heard fans describe some "gut punch moments" that made them actually regret going down sexual routes, apparently. I've heard that a zero corruption playthrough is the only way to get the best ending in the first game, and I'm not sure if that means "only good ending" or "secret golden ending" when other outcomes are still good, or at least satisfying.

Although, even then, I don't like the idea of needing to be absolutely perfect for the best outcome.

But I still have heard there are moments of levity in the game, and the sexual parts are pretty good. What is the game actually supposed to make you feel, then? Like, overall, when you're rolling the credits and looking back?

I can handle some dark moments in games, but something with a bleak or depressing message can stick to me in a bad way for a long time.

Any consentacles hentai manga where the human partner is a shrine maiden, nun, shaman, esc. and the tentacle monster is the god (or avatar of the god) they worship?

...or tentacle monster believed to be a god.

Because mikos and nuns are cute :)

Bonus points if there's actual soul-manipulation stuff, like the shaman getting willingly possessed, or taken out of their body to have spirit-sex with tentacles...

[spoilered for R-18G discussion] does Vivid Dead let you disable its rare snuff scenes? What other games have snuff you can disable?

Haven't been able to find much info on the game, I was browsing Rule 34 for some footage of it and noticed that there was a scene where a very large monster bites down on the protagonist, briefly fucks her with tentacles, and then finishes eating her alive all in a gory fashion.

A bit of blood and violence can add a lot of thrill to erotic scenes in games like this IMO, but actual death is the moment where fear catches up to and disrupts scarerousal for me. Can this content be disabled?

I'm guessing she dies in the other game over scenes too, but being dragged into an inky void or swallowed by a tentacle plant is more ambiguous, and is at least not gory.

On a side note, I heard that Night of Revenge does warn you if a scene has guro, but I'm not sure if it warns you right as the scene starts, as the gore is about to happen, or its something you deal with in the settings.

If Vivid Dead doesn't let you disable snuff, I wonder what games do, instead?

tf_irl

I forgot why I did this but I'm proud of it anyway. Vaguely relevant to tf subculture, I guess.

Can you name the Ultrakill level featured here? I'd also be surprised if anyone could name the h-game featured in the Hexcorp drone's profile picture, or the relevance of her serial number.

Bizzare request: What games have a focus on dubcon/noncon, but also have a lighthearted tone?

I think I have a strange fixation on games like this, but I haven't played very many.

I recently played the game, *ahem*, Some Heroines Climb Up a Tower to Ask God Why the Game Has a Name That's So Long, and I really enjoyed it! The gameplay was pretty fun on its own, but I think I really liked the casual, sometimes comedic attitude to sexual encounters. Even at the beginning of the game, your characters all sign a consent form so they're all at least willing and responsible for what happens when they get taken to pound town.

I haven't played it yet, but I am also really interested in trying out Salvor Deep. The demo was kind of boring and didn't even have any erotic scenes like the full game would obviously have, but I really, really like the "cozy horror" tone the game seems to have, being hunted down and taken advantage of by monsters without being in real fear or danger.

Any more like what I'm describing? Any even *similar* to what I'm talking about?

Are there any punishments for breaking the Axioms other than simply having your work declared non-canon?

I was re-reading the axioms the other day and something that shocked me was the implication in the lore page that apparently Alternate Universe works are expected to follow the axioms, too. Something something, "The good news is, as long as you create a sufficient separation between your AU and the core setting, and as long as you stick to the Axioms and Rules, you can write your own Lore for your own AU without causing anyone any grief"

I always thought that the axioms were there just to decide what works were canon to "HDG prime" or not, but if even they need to follow the axioms too, as things already inherently non-canon and rule-bending, then what happens if they don't? And why does it matter that people who want to explore the setting from a different perspective... do so even if they had no intent to contribute to the "main" lore?

....lil' bonus question, how do the axioms apply to attempts at video game adaptations of HDG? I imagine it would be just a straight detriment to all but the most intelligently-designed first person shooter or strategy games for one faction to always win or else the universe exploded, even if you are playing as the Affini in either.

What's the smallest crime that would get you domesticated in the Affini Compact?

And before you say it, I don't consider "being cute" a crime, even if people getting domesticated for it shows the lack of human rights within the Compact.

It's situations where domestication is either a form of punishment, or a measure of removing someone from greater society if they don't consider it a punishment. I'm wondering how far their iron-fisted rule goes, what the absolute minimum is that someone could do to get forcibly taken to a surgery clinic and made an example of specifically for the sake of justice.

Are there even punitive measures Affini take against lesser crimes besides domestication/wardships, like reeducation or prisons? I know they're "anarchists", but you know, only to an extent as axiomatic imperialists...
