From Gene Ross:
Alana Evans who celebrates a birthday July 6 knows a thing or two about stalkers. Though this situation might have occurred years ago, it’s happened over and over in the business. Except no one talks about it.
Evans: "I got booked on a shoot through Gold Star Models. The person in the hotel room didn't exist. He used reputable male talent's name -- Scott Lyons name. He uses Scott's name and was booking girls for shoots and getting them to hotels. The room number doesn't exist. The girls are left waiting in the lobby. I guess this guy is sitting there getting off on watching us totally frazzled, not knowing what is going on. I booked this through my agency.
"Gold Star booked me a couple of days ago to do a shoot with Donnie Long and Scott Lyons. Because I recognized the male talent, I didn't call them.
"They booked me to do a scene at the Universal Hilton. I don't like working at a hotel but sometimes that's what you have to do.
"After waiting 15 minutes, my husband Chris Evans calls Scott, who told him that there was a guy in the business using his name to book girls. The shoots never came to fruition. The guy would send the girls to locations, giving them hotel numbers that didn't exist.
"This guy is calling the agencies, booking through the agencies, and he gets a kick out of watching women wait, frazzled, in public places. My fear is that he is not going to get off on that for much longer. He's going to go to the next step. That's why everybody needs to know.
"One day a girl is going to show up and she's going to get attacked."
Born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Evans moved to San Jose, California, with her mother and sister when she was a few months old. She took part in various youth choirs and community plays throughout her childhood. She was also in her school’s Gifted and Talented Education program.
“I was always looking to be the center of attention. I spent my youth in choirs and community plays. While most kids were playing outside, I was at rehearsal. In school, I was in the GATE program, Gifted And Talented Education program. Basically, the smart kid class. That was fun. Not really”.
Evans' first job was making pizzas at the Round Table pizza parlor.
" I actually discovered my favorite kind of pizza during that job and it’s the only kind I eat…pepperoni and mushrooms”.
Alana married her first husband when she was 18 and they had a child together. She married her second husband Chris Evans in November 1999 and they went on to co-host a KSEX show.
“We’re a crazy porn couple. We have an open relationship which is probably the best way to survive in porn. There’s no jealousy and no drama…My husband is straight so there aren’t any three ways or anything. But I’ve had one boy toy and he’ll be in the house and I may just disappear for an hour.
"I think the idea of me being with other women just turns him on. I love that so we share a lot of different things. We have women that we share too so it’s a lot of fun…See, my husband calls me a ‘chude’ meaning that I look and dress like a woman but I totally think like a dude. All my male friends come to me when they need advice and I know that we as women are all crazy. I’m more likely to tell a guy that his girlfriend is fucking things up. I like to keep an open mind”.
Alana first started working in the adult entertainment industry as an exotic dancer at a Northern California club for where she and her husband were part owners. Alana loved performing on stage and she wanted to become a headline dancer. However, Alana knew that she needed to build up a greater fan base before she could become a feature dancer so she decided to start working in the adult film industry.
“I wanted to be a Feature Dancer. I like being naked and I am a very sexually active person. So since I needed to build up some sort of fan base, porn was a lot easier than doing magazines. Magazines felt like I had been swimming all day after the photo shoots”.
Alana made her official adult film industry debut in the spring of 1997 when she filmed a scene with Mr. Marcus for the Legend Video production Reel Sex Magazine #11 (1997).
Her porn star stage name is actually based on her first husband.
“My ex’s name was Alan. He gave me the name. I kept it after our divorce simply because he didn’t want me to continue doing porn, lol. I was always just ALANA. I added the name Evans a few years into my career and I’ve watched the name grow ever since. There’s a whole family of Evans’ porn stars now. I’m proud to be the first”.
Upon making her industry debut, Alana was represented by Reb Sawitz of Pretty Girl International.
Alana quickly started to appear in a wide range of popular porn productions such as the Vivid release Tight Shots The Movie (1998) which was nominated for “Best Comedy” at the 2000 AVN Awards, Archer’s Last Day (1999) for Extreme Associates that was nominated for “Best Video Feature” at the 2000 AVN Awards and the Odyssey movie Shane’s Slumber Party #8 (1999) which was nominated for “Best All-Girl Feature” at the 2000 AVN Awards.
Alana was even featured in her own Extreme Associates star showcase Extremely Yours, Alana (1999).
“I got started in the business working with Reb Sawitz at Pretty Girl International. Reb was great at holding my hand and watching out for me, keeping me safe and out of trouble. I wanted to be a feature dancer, but once I started shooting scenes, I didn’t really stop…I love being in the industry. Having fun and working with people I love like Pink Visuals and Xplay has made my stay in the industry quite pleasurable”.
Over the years Evans has received many “Best Supporting Actress”, “MILF Performer of the Year” and “Unsung Siren” nominations at the AVN, XBIZ and XRCO Awards.
A fan-favorite performer, Evans was inducted into the AVN Awards “Hall Of Fame” in 2015. She won “Gamer Girl of the Year” at the 2015 Alt. Awards. She was inducted into the XRCO Awards “Hall Of Fame” in 2019 and she's been the President of the Adult Performers Actors Guild (APAG).
In September 2006 Alana and Chris Evans founded their own production company CreamWorks Films. Their first film was Pick ‘Em Young (2006) which showcased Alana performing with new male talent that had been recruited via MySpace.
In November 2008 Alana and Chris launched another production company, Royal X Films, and their first film was Super Pink Holes (2008).
At the time Evans wrote: 2008 will mark the 10th anniversary of my first ever leap in front of the porno eye... Its a crazy thing to realize I've committed myself to a life of sex, drugs, and rock n 'roll. I've never lasted at a job for more than a year... I don't think I will ever go back.
Many people ask why I am here... a friend asked if maybe it's my Dad. Other people think something traumatic has happened to everyone in porn and that’s why we are here...
I'm here because I choose to be... I love the choices I make... whether it's sleeping with my girlfriends or f__king hot Rocker boys... I do what I do for me...
I lost my viginity at 14...by the time I was 16 I probably had nearly 100 men...I say men because most were over 18.... shame on them:) but I couldn't keep my hands to myself. I got into trouble as a teen but not with the law.... I was always chasing boys... I couldn't get enough.
My first real relationship ended after 8 years... I finally escaped. We were swingers... that started when I barely turned 18. I quickly learned the excitement of showing off sexually in front of others. I am a total exhibitionist and a voyeur. But that got boring... I got tired of being the hot young blonde all the couples wanted to pounce.... I needed more sexual fulfillment.
I found many things in my current relationship... the ability to just be free is the best part.
They say that when a woman turns 28... she starts to hit a peak... well I had one then.... and now at 31... I'm reaching an all new high. I've found a renewed sense of my whore'ness and I am loving it.
I believe we only live once and we need to be happy... personal happiness is key... and my sexuality makes me happy.
Butterflies in my tummy is even better... I get them sometimes... but it takes something special to do that.”
As president of the Adult Performance Artists Guild, it was Evans testified before the Los Angeles County grand jury that indicted Ron Jeremy on more than 30 counts of sexual assault in 2021 and spent years working with women in the porn industry who decided to speak out against one of its most legendary figures.
“I feel betrayed because at no point along the way, during this path of ‘Ron is suffering from dementia’ and the incompetence issue coming up, never did they say he could be sent home. It was always he’ll go to a facility,” Evans said.
“We all came forward. We all told our stories. We all put this effort into their case, and I feel 100% let down by the system.”
Evans, a swinger who got into porn in 1997, says one her favorite performers was Mr. Marcus, a guy known to be cavalier with his paperwork and who was sued for passing along the Syph to fellow performers.
According to Evans even when she was getting her start in the business back in the 90s, porn had its “ED drug dealers”- pimps with the blue pills. Some scenes would go as long as 8 hours [Tom Zupko scenes usually ran 12] because guys would have wood problems. Evans kinda overlooks the fact the outcry came from the women performers that hastened the blue pill. They didn’t want to be on a set that long.
“But I really liked what I was doing, and I had a great agent. He always looked out for me. There were bad actors in the industry that he kept me away from. Max Hardcore was number one. The things this guy would do to the girls. I met him. He was this crazy guy who wore the white cowboy hat. He went to prison at some point. He said something about Stormy [Daniels] one day on a tweet. I said that’s not very nice. I don’t like that. I shit you not. He died two days later!”
While Evans insists she’s not a “kiss & tell” person, some of the industry’s most explosive scandals were dropped on her old KSEX program.
And it was Evans who was instrumental for Phyllisha Anne being arrested for embezzlement of porn performer union funds.
Evans was cast in many of Will Ryder’s Brady Bunch themed porn parodies including Not The Bradys XXX: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! (2008) that was nominated for “Best Parody: Comedy” at the 2010 AVN Awards, Not The Bradys XXX: Pussy Power (2009), Not The Bradys XXX: Bradys Meet The Partridge Family (2010) which was nominated for “Best Parody: Comedy” at the 2011 AVN Awards and Not The Bradys XXX: Marcia Goes To College! (2013) that was nominated for “Best Parody: Comedy” at the 2013 Nightmoves Awards and “Parody Release of the Year: Comedy” at the 2014 XBIZ Awards.
