Tldr: wondering what kind of rod to pick, questions about size and pleasure, and where to buy. FTM so vagina, but a dude

So I tried sounding yesterday, with something not meant for it, and even if I sanitized it, didn't cross contaminate it with anything, etc, well it's still not proper sounding equipment. It was just to see if I liked the sensation before investing money

So I'd like to buy (a) rod(s?) ! But :

\- metal or silicone ?

\- straight or ribbed ?

\- hollow or whole ?

My instinct is to go with metal, straight and whole, but idk. I already know you shouldnt start with the smaller size when you have a vag. What feels better ? What's better for beginners ?

I also noticed there isn't a single space that sells rods adaptated for the size of a female urethra :( they're all fucking huge. Anyone knows of a site that sells shorter rods ?

Also, would Amazon and such be ok, or should I go OG sites only ?
