I struggle with communicating what I am into. Do you talk about it beforehand or just figure it out as you go?

I was watching some content from performer Siri Dahl and she makes jokes during some of her scenes. I thought it was funny but was curious how other people feel about it?

I saw someone mention the company Afterglow in this thread and watched their video Lust & Hate. It's about three people trapped together in a bunker, and they hate each other but are all super horny lol. After I read what they call a pleasure recap that goes with it (basically like an look into the dynamics).

It got into why enemies-to-lovers works, and now I caaan't stop thinking about it. It's one of my favorite romance novel tropes.

Not because I think people should date someone who's awful to them lol. But because I think there's something weird about how someone who really gets under your skin can end up taking up so much space in your brain. The recap connected it to Reward Theory of Attraction, and it kind of made sense?

Curious what people think.

Is enemies-to-lovers just a fantasy, or do you think there's actually some psychology behind why so many people are into it?
